Most arrogant, self centered and self absorbed Dentist I have EVER met. The whole office is non empathic and they just don't care ! Jan thinks is his superior to all. He belittles his staff and and patients. He told me I needed implants when upon getting a second opinion from an periodontist , this was not the case. At all! He's very, very greedy,

I have been with Dr. Jaffer at the Royal Oak Office for quite a few years now. I have found him and ALL of his staff to be first rate. Dr. Jaffer made me a splint for TMJ and it is perfect and has resolved my severe daily tension headaches. With splints you may have to go back to adjust. He was awesome in getting it to fit my very particular bite. This has been a lifesaver!! He has always been a very good listener and I would never think of switching dentists!

I have had lots of work done by Jan. I don’t have great teeth. His routine work is ok and fairly expensive. His expensive bridges and crowns all failed for me, after a few years, with no warranty. I had other bridges, done a long time ago, that all lasted many years. He is involved in multiple clinics?? Like all Calgary dentists, they charge 40% more than any other jurisdiction in North America. Then they go to Guatemala to help the poor, and ease their consciences. I would suggest they help working class people in Alberta instead.

In my experience, Dr. Jaffer recommends expensive procedures on every visit. He advised I needed a crown on a tooth that was not bothering me. I took the procedure and ended up in pain for three months. It finally settled down. Now, the crown has broken and Dr. Jaffer will not correct the work. He cites the 'warranty' expiring although I was out of town for 10 days (apparently, I am 4 days too late for warranty work!) and came to his office on my first day back. I am moving to a dentist that stands behind their work.

I had Dr. Jaffer as a dentist on my first visit to Ranchlands Dental Clinic, I was having serious problems with pain in my teeth and gums, which Dr. Jaffer was quickly able to determine as being caused by a piece of wisdom tooth root that had started causing problems 20+ years after I had my wisdom teeth removed. He is a very professional and knowledgeable dentist. I have been a patient of Ranchlands Dental Clinic ever since and have found all their staff to be great.

I have been going to Dr. Jan Jaffer for a few years now at his Ranchlands Dental Clinic. He is an excellent dentist. Highly knowledgeable, friendly and caring. I would highly recommend Dr Jaffer and his office to my friends and family.
