Dr. Rothman took out my thyroid for a different issue. The biopsy came back with a small cancer. He said I was fine and have a good life. One year later he was taking out a few lymph nodes. I have had two doses of RAI and my blood work is still showing something. My endro ordered a PET scan and sent it off to him. The phone call I received was that it was just "Scar tissue." He kept saying "Don't you understand, something on a Pet scan does not mean much. I asked him if he had looked at the blood work and he said he would get back to me. When he did it was a message saying that he and a radiologist had looked at the scan and yes, maybe there was a reoccurrence but he did not know where and to wait for awhile. I finally got into another specialist, who right in her office did a ultra sound and biopsy and I am scheduled for surgery. I would have given him a better rating after my first surgery, but now if I could give him a zero I would.

This guy has the bedside manner that lacks professionalism. He cant contain his unprofessional demeanor, even to a patient going through issues. Found this out first hand and then saw all of the other reviews on various sites with the same issue. Never again will I ever deal with this doctor or his practice!

Dr. Rothman is the absolute best surgeon and doctor I have ever seen! He was brilliant in every way, and made me feel comfortable, informed, safe, and at peace with a very scary surgery. I had been referred by my endocrinologist to him because I was told “he is the best”. Believe it! You want this man to perform your surgery, and his staff to help. Staff was outstanding and so efficient. My pain is nothing near what it could have been, and my scar is so minimal. My husband and I agree - He is simply the best! I’m so grateful he was my surgeon and I can’t recommend him high enough.

Doctor Rothman entered the room, did not introduce himaelf, made no eye contact, made no attempt to shake my hand, fist bump, touch elbows or nothingm. Sat back in his chair, staring at the ceiling, interlaced his fingers behind his head, and proceeded to tell me why he did not think that a hardware removal procedure from my throat would be beneficial at this time. M9nd you, he had no images, test results, medical history , or knew anything about me at all for that matter. He was asked by a neurosurgeon to assist him with the procedure. Rothman stated he felt removing the hardware that makes me pass out, cuts off my air, and causes me constant, debilitating pain, would not be beneficial. Due to the chance it could make the Dysphagia, or what tissue to worsen, or increase. Never taking into consideration the level of pain I M always in, and the low quality of life that this hardware affords me. I demanded the hardware be removed and was basically told by both surgeon's clerical staff that there was nothing further either physician could do for me, and that basically they saw no reason to continue an ongoing doctor, patient relationship any further. I was told by a receptionist at neurosurgeon John Ishkandar's office that Doctor had decided to pass on the removal of the hardware, that I desperately need removed, in my eyes as a matter of life and death because he did not feel, and I quote Margeritte from East Valley Neurosurgery," that he did not feel I had a zeal, or appreciation for life, so he was going to pass on surgery at this time.". What????? Rothman honestly put a tongue depressive in my mouth an instantly became my non advocate, non supporter, and in my eyes became a poor excuse for a healer. He cared zero about the pain I endure, zero about the embarrassing speech deterioration, knew nothing about my medical history, my mental status, the depressipon, anxiety and all together life sapping situation I face everyday right after I wake up, and Doctor Ishkandar and he both made an uninformed, unintelligible, ludicrous, totally uncompassionate decision to pass on me all tpgether as a suffering, pain ridden, embarrassed man, father, or brother in this world today, and basically shun me from further care. I just want to see any care, not further. I think Doctor license to practice eligibility in the state of Arizona should quickly, thouroughly, be reviewed, and maybe a quick refresher course in compassion, medical code of ethics, and basic human decency can be offered to them. Both doctor Ishkandar, and Doctor Glenn B. Rothman E.N.T. specialist, or as it says on his card "Diplomate", are not gonna be restoring my faith inhumanity any time soon. Thank You Anthony Ferro

Saw Dr Rothman with my husband for his head and neck cancer. He was very understanding and explained everything that was involved in the TORS procedure. Check on him constantly and followed up on the phone after we were discharged. My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 Terminal cancer. Dr Rothman and the rest of his team of nurses took above and beyond care for him and I both. Very personal. My husband is now cancer free and we continue to see him regularly. He saved his life. Definitely reform him more often.

Worst bedside manner on the phone when I called after hours. Made me feel I didn't know what I was talking about, when he didn't have his facts straight. Glad he's not my doctor in the practice.

Dr. Rothman messed up my husband so so bad that my husband was left with a feeding tube and a trach. He is the worst doctor I’ve ever been in contact with.

I went to see Dr Rothman due having had a long time issue with swallowing/ clearing my throat due to the constant feeling of something in my throat. He was less than caring, did a sub-par exam and was condescending the entire appointment. His nurse seemed entitled and condescending as well. He was very impatient duriymy appointment and almost laughed at my issues when presented. He did order a test, however, the results were less than enlightening. I have started taking a new medication based on those results with no relief of my symptoms. I will NOT be going back to him to follow up but will find a different ENT provider to see. I do t feel he was receptive to my issues and they have not been resolved. I had very high hopes with this Dr.but was left extremely disappointed, especially with the cost vs. treatment received.

I went to Dr. Rothman for a tonsillectomy and have chronic health issues so I have seen quite a few doctors, some of them absolutely horrible. That being said, my expectations weren’t too high..

But, wow, he went above and beyond. After the tonsillectomy surgery I had A LOT of issues with pain and his nurse was always available to speak with and he even spoke to me directly asking how he could help 😱!!!

He was so kind, took the time to answer all of my questions both before and after surgery, and even asked me to call and follow up with how I was doing after post op.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars, he is seriously one of the best doctors I’ve ever seen. I’m so glad I was referred to him!
