Went to this doctor back in 2013....knows nothing about lyme disease. Told him my story and that i went to a walk in clinic to obtain antibiotics and he told me "you self medicated yourself so I can't help you" then walked out. Left me there in the room crying. Uneducated.

What....are you kidding me.......He is the GO TO Doctor for Infectious diseases unless you fell on your head somewhere up the 9 floors of the Winnipeg Clinic. I don't know what planet some of the respondents came with their negative views but they obviously have a home on Pluto....Dr. C. Yeung has got to be one of the most sociable, knowledgeble, and funny individuals that I had the pleasure meeting today (August 30/17) Not only was he direct and to the point of my condition, he offered up corrective measures that will eradicate my leg infection. Every question and response was thoroughly talked though and made that I fully understand.......To this end....To my respondents of a negative opinion.....go back to Pluto!!!

Terrible doctor. It's like a fast food restaurant. In and out so fast, yet feel empty inside. I'll never visit him again.

As a family doctor, he is horrible. Very uncaring, uninformed about your situation even though many documents are sitting in front of him - he won't bother to read them before your appointment so you end up getting substandard care. Can't/won't answer questions about your health and gets defensive if you ask questions he can't answer because he hasn't taken the time to read your file. NOT the person you want to entrust your care to.

You will get in late, and then you will get out early. Dr. Yeung acts like the building is on fire. talks far better then he listens. I would definitely agree that he is knowledgeable though. He was also helpful and so IF you get referred to him, you can mentally prepare yourself for the most helpful 3 minute Dr appt you have ever had. My diagnosis for Dr. Yeung - he needs to prescribe himself a good dose of benevolence.

Dr. Yeung is a major expert in infectious diseases, so if you've got a serious infection, he is the guy to see. As a regular family doctor, however, in recent years my experience is that he is too rushed, he rushes his patients too much, doesn't ask enough questions, doesn't order tests, assumes hypochondria, and misses important diagnosis. He is knowledgeable, but so is a medical library. That knowledge is only useful if he listens and asks questions and applies what he knows to what he hears. From when I first saw him about 10 years ago, until 5 years ago, he did listen and ask questions. But in the last 5 years he has become just too rushed. I changed doctors because of this, because he missed a major disease I had, and the delay in treatment set me back so much, perhaps permanently. Inside he is a nice guy, just he is too rushed.

His hurried and fairly impersonal manner can be off-putting at first but after having him as my family doctor for twelve or fifteen years I have grown to trust his judgement. He is very quick to refer patients (well, me anyway) to a specialist, rather than attempting treatment himself but he does order thorough testing and his nurse/receptionist, Connie, is great at seeing that it happens. As a specialist himself he has admitting priviledges in several hospitals, which is not the rule with ordinary GPs. I quite like him. A person could do worse.

Aug 2009 Internal medicine specializing in infectious diseases. I'm told by multiple sources, when he has a difficult case where he is the consulting specialist, he takes his time and applies his knowledge and does an excellent job. Also functions as a family doctor. I only know him in that role. In my experience: Rushes his appointments more and more. Doesn't ask questions about what the symptoms are. Makes assumptions and dismisses concerns. Seems to have an excellent knowledge of medicine -- but so does the internet and so does a medical library. What a physician does that a medical library does not do is listen to the patient, ask questions, and apply knowledge and clinical experience to reach a diagnosis and treatment plan. I recommend Dr Yeung to those with serious infections seeking treatment or a second opinion, but not as a family doctor.
