I consider myself fortunate to have been in Dr. Johnston's care for a decade or more. Not only was I impressed with his knowledge, but with his gentle and kind spirit - his interest not only in my CLL condition, equally interested in my personal life, my interest in cottaging. He too has a cottage west of Kenora. I will miss seeing him William Baerg

Dr. James Johnston is a knowledgeable, caring, helpful considerate individual. He is interested in the patient and their well being and takes the time to make you feel important and well cared for. I can’t say enough good things about this man and am so grateful to him for his constant good care! Cancer Care Manitoba is fortunate to have you, Dr Johnston!

I was a patient of Dr.Johnston for stage 4B Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He is an amazing doctor. He was so patient and kind with me in such an emotional time in my life. He went above and beyond to try to help me with all my issues, even if they weren’t cancer related. He gives me hope that there are still great doctors out there who truly care about the profession of helping the sick. Thank you Dr.J!

Dr. Johnston was my dr. for years. He is very knowledgable and professional. He diagnosed my rare cancer and three brain tumors when i was 21 years old. Altghough my future looked bleak I am now 54 yerds old and have Dr Johnston to thank. ....Dr. Johnston has to be a gift from God because no one els could have gotton me through this.

Had an appointment on June 30 with Dr. Johnston, after one more cancelled appointments I arrived at 2 p.m. For blood work. My appt.was for 330. At 430 was called into exam room. Left at 445, no one around to tell them I was leaving. Elizabeth Sutherland

Dr. Johnston has been our main Oncologist for almost 7 years. He is not only an amazing medical professional but a truly great guy. You won't get more attentive care and concern than Dr. Johnston and his staff.

He treated me for stage 4b Hodgkin's lymphoma and he is absolutely amazing. He is so helpful with health care besides cancer related issues as well. Every issue I have is always resolved when I see him. Erin was by far my favourite of his nurses, she is personal and helpful. Love him!

I had Dr. J throughout my treatment for Non Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2009-2010. I am now 5 years cancer free and he is a fantastic doctor. There have been a few times my appointments get re-scheduled or I am waiting longer than I'd like, but it's acceptable at such a busy clinic in CCMB.
The support staff he has is also committed to providing excellent care. They have changed over the years since I first started going and by far, Erin has been my favourite.
