The staff member I see has no knowledge of what it is like to have a family and deal with family issues, they are only in it for the money.

I have been talking to Dr. Leah Clyburn for years about different issues that have come up for me. She is so helpful to speak to. She is a great listener and obviously cares very deeply about her clients. She really stands out to me as a psychologist — she is so compassionate, skilled, caring, and smart. I would recommend her to anybody in a heartbeat!

agree with the negative review, think this psychologist is for upper middle class people with "issues" rather than people with trauma.went to see dr.leah clyburn in bedford and had a similar experience

I'm wondering if there's been a mix-up and maybe the last reviewer saw someone other than Dr. Leah Clyburn (https://www.drleahclyburn.ca/dr-leah) for an initial consult. I know her quite well after talking to her for 5 years and I can't imagine her doing what's described. My experience is the complete opposite and was similar to all of the other extremely positive reviews. Leah is the most attuned, compassionate, understanding, supportive and accepting person I've ever met. She's always helped me to explore my feelings about my choices and I've never felt pressured to do anything. I've had several therapists and she was by far the most helpful with teaching coping skills. She's so knowledgeable! I just can't say enough positive things about her - I owe so much to her!

I'm surprised by the reviews on here because my experience with Dr. Clyburn was exact opposite of the reviews on here. I sought out Dr. Clyburn's help for trauma I dealt with in childhood (poverty, abuse) which were having a negative affect on my work.

During the consultation, instead of telling me that she didn't feel comfortable treating me, she kept telling me to move to Toronto to make more money. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and explained to her that money wasn't an issue and that I wanted to take the time to heal. Granted, I was unemployed at the time but I had more than enough savings to afford food, rent and therapy for well over a year.

She insisted it was best that I move to Toronto and leave my family, friends and fiance. I kept redirecting the conversation back to possible coping techniques but she wasn't budging.

I think what happened was poor therapeutic relationship but I really wish she was honest about this instead of telling me to leave the province. It just left me confused, frustrated and disappointed.

Dr Leah Clyburn is the best! She treats you with kindness and respect and makes you feel comfortable talking about anything. If you need her in an emergency she is there for you and compassionate. She is vert knowledgable in her field and offers many different avenues to help you cope. Wonderful doctor.

Dr. Clyburn is one of the best! Although I am no longer a patient as I moved away, I still continue to learn from everything she taught me over the four years I saw her.

Dr. Clyburn has given me the perfect tools to rebuild my life. I don't know where I would have been without her.She is highly professional and makes you feel like you're her only client. She takes time for you, never judges and knows what she's talking about.
