Dr. Hahn was the best doctor I have seen. He has been professional in every way, he is the first one, in years, to take my concerns seriously. He listens carefully and does not hurry the time with him. I am improving with his treatments and I am extremely grateful for his good judgement. I can't believe these people who are complaining.

Dr. Hahn was the one who diagnosed me with UC ...and that's the extent of what I can thank him for. I understand that he is a knowledgeable doctor, I really do. Talking to him, it's evident that he is very, very experienced, and knows exactly what he is doing. HOWEVER, sometimes being knowledgeable is just not enough! Dr. Hahn has the most awful bedside manner of any doctor i've ever encountered - it's nonexistent, really- and seems not to have a single empathetic bone in his body. I was only 18 when I went to see him; fresh out of high school, about to move away for university, and absolutely panicking over what I should do about my newfound condition. I needed someone to guide me through what was going on. Instead he threw scary facts at me, snapped at and embarrassed me when I misunderstood his orders about my medication, and made me feel stupid whenever I had a question about my condition. I had to have my father come to my appointments with me because I was so intimidated.
Furthermore, his receptionist is a god awful woman who, like him, does not seem to have an ounce of friendliness for the patients. She is snappy, rude, and unhelpful. Trying to schedule new appointments with her was a nightmare - especially because Dr. Hahn also seemed to constantly be on vacation.
Punctuality is also a major problem - I understand that doctors are busy and that sometimes appointments get drawn out, but having to wait 50 minutes and then to have to deal with the doctor from hell is really asking too much.
They say IBD is made worse by stress so honestly, Dr. Hahn is probably not the right doctor to see for patients suffering from UC and Chron's unless you have extremely thick skin. Really just a miserable, miserable man. I am so happy that I finally chose to leave his care (I was afraid to even leave, mind you!) as I am now with a doctor who is both extremely knowledgeable and very compassionate.

I dont know whats going on with this office! What a shame they lost a really good secretary. At least she had the courtesy to call patients back and follow up on whats going on with referrals to get CT scans. I asked for a renewal of my annual blood work 3 weeks ago and still haven heard back. Shameful!

I have ulcerative colitis and I was referred to him for colonoscopy and endoscopy. His receptionist gave me CoLyte for bowel cleansing prior to examination, but never asked me whether or not I have any allergies to this medication... On CoLyte's website I found out It's not recommended for patients with UC, but I usually trust "doctor's prescription". I drank half of that liquid prep. (out of 4L) then start having bloody diarrhea, so I stopped using it (that's why the producer doesn't suggest it to people with UC). I felt nothing during examination, but after sedation was gone I felt so much pain and had diarrhea for one week. During follow up appointment he was not willing to listen to my concern about CoLyte and how much it caused me a trouble before examination. His respond was go somewhere else if you are not satisfied! He is so arrogant and rude. I don't recommend him based on my experience.

A condescending, arrogant man who is rude and dismissive. Clearly tries to make his patient feel insecure and uncomfortable immediately. A very miserable person who dislikes his patients.

I was so impressed with Melinda and Dr. Hahn, with my first visit. Not only were they both very pleasant and helpful, Dr. Hahn made me so comfortable talking and dealing with very sensitive issues, and he offered additional advice not really related, he is a Great Doctor!
