I have to say from day one I thought this Doctor was so rude. I was in there with a newborn and he was just talking at me and not to me. At this point I don't care how much he knows, I have had enough and finding another Doctor. Oh and his secretary is the worst I have ever dealt with.

Dr. Grodinsky has been our pediatrician for just about 9 years and we feel very lucky to have him. At first I didn't like him, I thought he was very rude and condescending but we stayed with him and quickly realized that he was just very confident in his abilities to be a pediatrician. We never leave an appointment second guessing what he has told us or what he has suggested we do. I find him to be extremely thorough. He doesn't beat around the bush and I feel that is very important. He's had to refer us to 3 specialist and they have all been amazing. He definitely has an amazing network of doctors. There have been times that I've needed to take one of the kids to see him and I've gotten appointments within hours of calling. He has a great after hours/weekend clinic with other local doctors that has been very useful over the years. The only negative thing about his office is the receptionist, she is VERY VERY RUDE!!!! The 2 nurses are amazing and helpful too. Punctuality ok.

Dr. G has been a lifesaver in so many ways. I've read many ratings of him on this site, and while I know that he is often running late, the reason is that he is exceptionally thorough, and when he is with your child, you have his undivided attention and he checks everything. I find as the child ages, his bedside manner improves. He engages them more in the examination and even makes jokes. I am so thankful that our children have such a fantastic pediatrician. He leaves no stone unturned, and he found issues with both my children that likely would never have been discovered, because the symptoms were so mild. He doesn't dismiss the little things, and he encourages parents to go with their gut feeling if something seems wrong. You won't find a better pediatrician, I am certain.

Dr. Grodinsky is extremely knowledgeable and very experienced. He is good at training the parents too. He explains everything very well. My both kids were born premature, thank you Dr. Grodinsky’s help. I wish my own family doctor is half as good.

Dr Grodinsky always listens to parents' concerns and he is very knowledgable. He is extremely thorough in treating the little patients and has done a fantastic job on both my children. In addition, the waiting time is usually less than 10 minutes, which is excellent as compared to other clinics. I would highly recommend Dr Grodinksy to any parent.

Dr. Grodinsky is fantastic - not only very knowledgeable, but very caring for the children under his watch. To those that complain about his availability - remember he is also on-call at the QC. And to the person who complained about the hip test - it's very important to perform such tests.

We feel so lucky to see Dr. G for the care of our kids. He's knowledgeable, kind, and willing to take the time to fully investigate what's going on with our kids. He really cares for them. We seem him on a regular basis with special needs and typical kids illnesses. It's a rare time that Cindy won't be able to fit us in if its something urgent, otherwise we're able to see his colleagues at an after hours clinic. On the days he's not in the office, there's always a message on the voicemail of who's covering and their numbers. This sort of continuity of care is stunning to me in the age of walk-in clinics and overflowing emerg rooms. I suspect the some of the ppl who aren't happy with his medical skills are ones who don't bring their kids in fast enough when they're ill or don't document what's going on so he can evaluate their conditions quickly. I could go on and on but will finish by saying his staff are a major part of his team too and share his commitment.

I have been taking my children to Dr. G since we moved to Ottawa from Montreal. He was recommended to us by his former professor and he has been an exceptional doctor. We have 3 children all three with asthma and he has kept all but one out of the hosptial due to asthma. He diagnosed a serious kidney infection in my daughter without all the tests results available and if it hadn't been for that she would have probably lost a kidney. His staff recognizes my voice by phone and I have always been able to see him on the same day if my children are really ill. He has never over-reacted and jokes and makes us feel that we are not wasting his time with silly questions or concerns. We moved to the other side of town and will travel to see him as long as he practices. The people that say he is rude must be rude to him because he nor his staff have ever been rude or brushed us off. He is the Best!

I have been bringing my daughter to Dr. Grodinski since she was born and she will be 4 in March and I have been taking my son there since he was born which is now 13 months. I found that everytime we would go int there we would have to wait for at least 25-30 mins just to get into the room, and while waiting his secretary was just rude and seemed like she didn't care about anything. She was always chatting on the phone and there had been a few times where i would be standing there waiting for her to get off the phone to book another appointment or something and you could clearly tell that she was talking to someone personal not proffessional. Once we get into the room, we then waited for another 30 minutes before we saw him. It seems like everytime we go there we wait and then he gets VERY parenoid and sent us to CHEO everytime!!! I find he had NO bedside manner at all and I am in the process of trying to find a new doctor for my children because he isn't good enough in my opinion.
