Dr Dickoff was the on call Neurologist when I got sick this past year. I find him to be highly knowledgeable and explains everything to me. However, you do have to wait 2-3 hours for your appointment which is why I rated punctuality a 2. For me though, he is well worth the wait because he will not rush you out of his office. He will give you all the time in the world.

20 years ago I consulted with him, sadly his lack of professionalism was and is still NON existant!! Rude, very nasty, 2-3 hour waiting period still going on judging from patient comments. I'm glad I had the courage to leave his office and find a caring gifted Neurologist! Kudos to all that stopped taking his and staff abuse.

Horrible customer service from reception and ridiculously long waiting time (Over 2 hours). Very disappointed. I got up and walked out as I had taken my own PTO time to accompany my mother to her appointment so I could talk to the doctor. I'm switching my mother to another neurologist. My time is just as valuable as this doctor's. Lives up to his name.

I walked out of his office beyond happy. Endlessly talking to my husband the whole ride home how great he was. No joke.
An issue happened with insurance on a migraine medicine I needed. They needed an authorization from the doctor before they would release it. I have a bad migraine. 5 days so far. So my husband handle calling to tell his office and the receptionist was not nice at all. Said she might not be able to get to it today because she leaves at 2. It was only 11am. My husband stressed I need it for the mugraine and she got very arrogant. A couple of hours later, my husband called the insurance and explained situation. They released my medication but the doctor needed to authorize the next day. My husband called the next morning to give them the number to call to authorize. Again, very nasty. Then asked if the doctor could call us back because I had a question about the medication cause my head wasnt better at all. She said Well he is busy right now so he might not call you till maybe tomorrow night. He eventually called and when my husband explained about the receptionist, he went off on us saying that we werent even in the system yet and we are doubting what he prescribed. And he didnt appreciate my husband being the go around. He doesnt like go arounds.
Wh...what? lol Long story shorter. Never in my freakin life have I EVER experienced a doctor with such lack of professionalism. DO NOT GO HERE!!!
So now, head still hurts, still on meds for a few more days and have to find another doctor!

He is a brilliant MD but is waiting for 4 hours to see him worth it? That is the average wait time . I think it's really fucked up that he does this!

Thorough, direct, does not beat around the bush. He may run late in his appointments but he does not rush his patients once they get into his office, he does a methodical history and exam and gives clear instructions about medications and tests ordered based on the consult. Staff is efficient and helpful.

The worst experience of my life. The latin motto : "Nomen Omen" (Name is Omen) Unfortunately the patient was my daughter (in pain for several months because a hip problem ) Because of Dr Dickoff's incompetence and arrogance she wasted many more months. Last time I talked to him on the phone he would scream at me just because I was asking some explanation about his diagnosis and drugs prescription. I agree with the other comments that he has some severe psychological problems and he shouldn't be allowed to practice. The office staff is similarly uneducated bad mannered and absolutely chaotic.couldn't be more true.

Waited for over 2 hours, he was arrogant and told me to shut up (son, health care proxy), during EEG of my 89 year old mother he cranked up the electrical current several times causing her extreme pain and said that it was a gift from her orthopedic doctor. This is straight out abuse. Called me stupid when I asked questions. Had to listen to him complain about his family life and his dislike for his nose and looks. I think he has some very deep routed emotional problems and can be dangerous.

I came to him with pain in my legs. He diagnosed me with restless leg syndrome. I wanted more tests but he wouldn't listen. I went to a diff doctor who reviewed the EMG that dickoff did. He mis-read my tests. I am now 25 years old walking with a cane and doing IVIG infusions forever.
