Very pleasant and talks to you so you have a full understanding of your case. Staff are punctual, call and remind you of your appointment. Staff are wonderful at answering questions when you call. Most importantly, when they ask your full name, they ask where you live,so they know they’re talking to the right person. I was told there were two with same first & last name. Great job. Many thanks to Dr.Toth & his wonderful staff.

Words cannot describe how horrible my family’s experience was with Dr. Toth. Absolutely disgusting and shameful. If you care about the treatment of your family members, you will run from this clinic. I wish we did.

This man is the most vile human I have ever been in contact with. Keep yourself, family and friends away from this man.

I would like to express my huge gratitude to Dr. Toth and his team at York Thoracic Surgery. After being diagnosed with a potentially cancerous stomach tumour I was sent to Dr. Toth to manage my care. I immediately felt I was in very capable hands. Dr. Toth and his team were exceptionally thorough with all aspects of my diagnostic procedures, surgery and post care.

With all the negativity lately, I just want to say I feel very blessed to live in Canada and have received all of this care.

Had an esophagectomy performed by Dr Toth Sept 2019 (stage 2 cancer). The procedure was explained to me in detail and there were no major complications for me post surgery. This is a very intensive procedure, but I have now recovered and I'm feeling great as of a year later. Dr Toth, Dr Privitera and Dr. Kavanagh and all of the staff at Newmarket from Radiology / Chemo to the ICU and post care are the absolute best at what they do. /Brent

Dr. Toth operated on me on November 6, 2019 and removed my lower right lung lobe. Probably a piece of cake for him but a tricky operation in my mind, and all I can say is I salute this brilliant surgeon for not only doing terrific clinical work but also being a splendid human being that I enjoyed communicating with. I can't recommend him highly enough. And the OR and ICU staff were very competent, had a great sense of humour and couldn't be more helpful.

I saw Dr. Toth as result of a sinister looking spot found in my right lung. After testing it was deemed 40% chance of being cancer. Dr Toth and I both agreed we are not playing Russian roulette with this and I was operated on 5 November 2019 within two weeks of my appointment with him. The lump was found not cancer as suspected, and all went very well. Dr. Toth may seem to be gruff by some but for myself I like his direct approach and vast knowledge. I now have a peace of mind and can live a long life knowing I dodged a bullet. The OR staff at South Lake where unbelievable considering how terrified I was. Hats off to Dr Toth and his staff.

The man is a coward. Performed procedure that he knew would make no difference and then when complications to that procedure occurred, instead of seeing my wife (he was in the hospital) he spoke to the emergence doctors over the phone and told them to send her home.
He could have come down and seen her, but he is a coward.
He knew he was wrong and didn't want to face the patient.

Dr. Toth has no compassion and the rudest doctor I ever met. My spouse was diagnose of Lung cancer on his left lung which has metastasis to his lymph node under his chin. After Dr. Toth did the Bronchoscopy for him, he told us that his cancer as spread to his chest, and also his back and there is nothing he can do, and just said the Radiotherapy Group will contact you. Since John is quite healthy except being tired, I asked him if he could remove the mass or part of his lung, he said you think I am going to remove his whole lung for him ? I asked him the life expectancy, he said you think I got a crystal ball like in the 60' and can tell you, he spent less than two minutes with us and took off. Dr. Toth is so sarcastic that is disgusting. We expected him to at least sit down with us and discuss a treatment plan and what option and treatment he could have, but I think he simply did not care. I have then requested specialist who is going to remove his cancerous lymph node to refer him to another specialist at Sunnybrook for a second opinion as accordingly to the CT scan, it has not spread to his other lung, it has not spread to his kidney, liver, brain, blood nor his bone, so why can't he operate on him and remove part of the lung or the whole lung. DR. TOTH IS A TOTALLY IRRESPONSIBLE DOCTOR, ALWAYS ASK TO REFER TO ANOTHER DOCTOR FOR A SECOND OPINION as I do think surgery can be done, but he just does not care.
