First of all...his receptionist is AWFUL!!! She is very rude, doesn't ever answer the phone, and you have to call several times to get through. Be prepared to wait...and wait...and wait. At least 2 to 3 hours...even if you book first thing.
Dr Chow is very knowledgeable but he is all about the drugs...I've tried almost every kind of biologic for my RA (unsuccessfully), and the last time I saw him he said I was untreatable, and asked ME what I wanted to try next. Ummm... I dunno!! You're the Dr no?!! I have a new Rheumatologist now.

I've been a patient for over a decade; reaching the office has been more and more challenging. Today I was hung up on. I'm waiting for important results which should have been back last week, and I just don't know what to do. I feel helpless. He's an amazing doctor, and I couldn't ask for better, but I don't understand why I can't get an answer on the phone, it's really becoming an issue for me. There are signs everywhere saying you can't become upset with the staff, which I completely understand; at the same time, where are the standards? It takes me over 30 calls to get through, and that's not ok. Wait times are brutal. Appointments are double and triple booked. I just don't understand.

Almost 10 years taking my mother to this guy. All he does is prescribe pills that have side effects that requires follow up visits to get cures from the side effects. What a viscous cycle. Seems like a gravy train. Never ending cycle of Rx. Constantly switching from liver damaging meds to kidney damaging meds.
My poor mom doesn’t have a clue of what’s happening.
Thats not all ; you gotta wait 2-3 hours and pay for parking. What a hustle (I mean business).
Plus you gotta deal with the bride of Frankenstein secretary. I mean, can you get any worst attitude and less professional. Maybe at the zoo; and this is where she belongs.

Now with COVID, he’s try not to see his patients. How can you effectively diagnose medical conditions over a phone chat? $$$. And he doesn’t want me in the office with my 83 year old mother who doesn’t understand what he’s saying or doing.

Just take the pills and come back in 6 months$$$

Anyone reading this should consider alternative medicine/wholistic or naturopathic medicine before getting into irreversible never ending Rx and their side effects.

Doctor is amazing but secretary is not friendly or helpful. Very long wait times. Most times, never answers phones and one cannot leave a message because no calls are returned.

Dr. Chow is professional and friendly. However his receptionist is extremely rude and condescending, can't let I finish my sentence. She is impossible to deal with and always confused what appointment is. We ended up switching doctor due to the receptionist rude behaviour.

Dr. Chow is a knowledgeable and friendly doctor. Although you have to wait for a little before appointments he has been so thorough with my condition and he has been great at explaining future steps. Dr. Chow is one of the most friendly doctors and he always remembers our conversation from past appointments. Overall I would highly recommend his practice.

I find Dr Chow and his staff to be very knowledgeable, friendly and patient. I highly recommend his practice. So you have a bit of a wait it is well worth it to know your health issues are in good hands.

Although Dr. Chow is knowledgeable, it's very hard to see him without waiting for more than half an hour. That's not the worst part. The worst is his receptionist who is EXTREMELY rude and inpatient when you make appointments or ask for some directions.
