I recently saw this so called professional at his clinic after sustaining quite a serious wrist injury that had received attention at an emergency Department of another hospital. The previous ER hospital casted me and told me they couldn’t get the wrist in 100% position only 75 and recommended I see the surgeon within the following couple of days. I attended to the office and didn’t have to wait too long but upon having my appointment he appeared to be in a rush initially Check my x-rays quickly didn’t even ask how my wrist was and then said that oh you can just wear your cast for another week and we’ll check it . in when I challenge that based on what the former hospital said as well as saying I had consulted with a family physician and researching on the internet and type type of injury I had sustained. is when he basically became defensive and his ego got in the way and started being arrogant raising his voice with me he made comments like “do you know what kind of doctor I am “if you were a 23 year old construction worker I would be different taking a different position This was also after I told him that I’m an extremely active individual he never even asked me anything about myself how active I was and I’m an extremely active but I almost felt like because I questioned his decision based On the info that the previous hospital gave me and as a taxpayer of the healthcare system I have a right to get the best possible outcome for a very important part of your body which is your wrist. without your wrist you can’t do much and I depend on it for most of the activities that I engage in I told him several times in an extremely active individual however I am a woman who is 60 years old and his comment about if I were 23 or construction worker was totally out of line I think this doctor needs to be reprimanded and be put under supervision for the way that he treats people or learn how to have proper interactions with his patients because I think he’s been getting away with it for way too long. I have seen a number of specialists and I have never encountered this type of attitude or arrogance to the extent that he demonstrated during my appointment after a very intense conversation with him raising his voice he eventually agreed to passing me on to having surgery which would provide the best possible outcome . when I asked prior to his decision as he indicated that with the cast it would be an OK outcome I then asked what an OK outcome would be just a cast he informed me that my wrist would look slightly deformed etc. etc. and it would be about 80% 85% functioning why would that be OK for me and why should it be OK for me because I’m a 60 year old woman?
From the looks of him and just my interaction in my previous professional background And after reading very similar reviews from some peopleI would state that this man has some type of personality issues that are going on there’s something not quite right . WRHA may benefit from doing a psyche assessment on him as in many ways he seems like quite a loose cannon at times sort of erratic in his temperament
I truly feel sorry for anybody that cannot advocate for themselves if you end up with this man I would never return to him for anything.
