Too eager to sell product. Does not like to give the patient a copy of their RX. Insists contact lens wears have annual eye exams. I checked with several other offices, they DO NOT. Eye exams are NOT cheap! Off to a new eye doctor now as a result. Less selling, more caring!

All I can say that in the 7 years that I have brought my son to her, she has been very friendly and helpful. Of course she will direct you to the section where they sell you the glasses but when I'm asking for the prescription they have never given me hassles to pass them to me. Some people might not want to bother going somewhere else and are happy if they can buy them right there. That is the choice they give you and all we have to ask is for the prescription.

When I come for my visits, she always lets me try the newest brands of contact lenses. She is up to date, helpful and fun. I would encourage patients to see her.

I really like Dr Reiss for the fact that she is straight forward and easygoing. I don't really need glasses except for the computer because of the light and when I asked if I should get glasses again after loosing the first pair she said "don't you have better things to spend your money on?" so I don't think she is pushy with everyone. She is a fun person and I think she is a good doctor.

Dr. Reiss has been a very good eye doctor for me. A number of years ago she spotted a medical problem in my eyes and referred me to a specialist who I continue to see. I never once had the feeling that she was trying to sell me glasses and when I asked for my perscription , it was given to me.

My children & I saw Dr. Reiss for 3 years. She is very business-like which is fine. She always ushers you out to the "selling floor" personally which makes me feel she is more interested in selling. The office doesn't seem to encourage giving patient's their perscription. You have to ask for it. The last time I was there, I had several questions for Dr. Reiss. She seemed in a hurry and provided only barebones answers...nothing more. When I asked her how much, if any, the children's perscriptions had changed, she was VERY condescending. Her exact words were, "Why do you want to know? It wouldn't mean anything to you anyway." She didn't answer my question and treated me as if I was stupid. I happen to have a science background (University level Biology, pathology, biochem, chemistry etc...), work in the medical field and have a working knowledge of the prescriptions. I was shocked. I should have reported her to whoever the body is that regulates her. Never came back.

She is a good doctor, but be careful with her eagerness to sell. She comes across as being more interested in selling products (glasses & contacts).
