Dr Nana Owusu is the ideal example of the medical caregiver. Takes time to listen, asks questions and then extra care to explain concerns. Makes you feel totally trusting that you are well taken care. Great visit every time. The best specialist and as a person.

Dr. O is by far the best optometrist in Winnipeg. I have been a patient of his for a few years and have had routine eye exams, as well as other eye health condition check-ups with him. Every time he is extremely professional, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. He never leaves the room until he is sure he has answered all of your questions and are satisfied with his treatment. I highly recommend Dr. O to anyone and everyone.

Dr. Owasu is warm, compassionate and honest. I am happy I was referred to him. I will never see another optometrist. He is definitely the best I’ve seen. The staff were friendly and Melanie was very helpful and knowledgeable. My new glasses look great and I feel better working on my computer than ever before. What a great team!

What an incredible experience. I returned to Winnipeg to find that my optometrist has retired. Based on reviews I thought i would try “Dr. O”. I’m glad I did. He’s really nice and made me feel very comfortable. He’s clearly very smart (but not in the typical condescending doctor way) and he kept explaining how much he wanted me to understand. He even apologized for being behind schedule and he was literally just 1 minute behind. He said “I hate waiting so why should you have to wait?” Amazing... I’ve never heard a doctor say that before. EVER!!
I lucked out finding “Dr. O”. I read that he’s the best with kids too so I’ll be taking my son and my biggest kid (my husband 😂). I’ll be back with an update. So far, I’d say two thumbs up. I would recommend him 100/100 times!

I have never come across a more compassionate and caring individual than Dr. Owusu. Yes he is a caring doctor/ optometrist but even more importantly, he's a caring PERSON! I wrote a review before and it seems to have been deleted so I am back to share how amazing he is. Dr. Owusu (goes by Dr. O) helped solve some eye and health related issues for my youngest son that I would never have thought possible in an optometrists office. He came highly recommended by our pediatrician - she said he's the best she's heard of. Dr.O followed up with us by calling my home and office regularly to make sure that my son was doing ok after his surgeries and other doctor visits. He's only 3 and a half years old, and he's been through a lot but he now gets really excited every time we have to visit Dr. O. Thanks for brightening my little guy's eyes and his days. We look forward to the next follow up appointment!

Dr. O was unbelievable! I took my grandmother to see him (she raves about him constantly) and wow I was very impressed. First, the office is gorgeous!!! His front desk staff really explained everything that they were doing even though she’s been there many times before. And the lady who does the testing before you see him is absolutely hilarious! I was standing out in the hall listening and she actually made me laugh out loud! Then Dr. O brought her in and boy did he make her feel special. She’s a tough nut to crack but he had her smiling and laughing the whole time. He made a couple calls to her family doctor and her eye surgeon to ask some questions that he thought were important - I’ve never heard of a doctor taking so much extra time to make sure that he was on the same page as the other doctors. He said, “no worries I’ll eat lunch tomorrow” hahaha. She’s had bad eyesight for a number of years now but Dr. O was able to make her happy with a new pair of glasses. His staff person did a great job selecting a pair for her. I was so surprised and impressed by this experience that I’ve booked my own exam with him. Can’t wait! I’ll be back to share details of it soon!

Dr. O is fantastic!! He takes his time to make sure all of your questions are answered and is very thorough with his exam. He explains what he is doing at every step of the exam. He see’s my entire family (fantastic with children). Highly recommend seeing him

“Dr. O” is awesome. He was so caring and helpful to both me and my partner. We were both very impressed. When we stumbled on his office we assumed that it would be the same as an exam anywhere else. Dr. O is VERY different. He took so much time to answer our questions and to help us through the process of getting new contacts and glasses. He even helped my headaches improve by suggesting to his staff person that they use a specialty type of lens in the glasses. He really knows his stuff. It worked like a dream! Now I’m comfortable at work everyday, I’m not wiped out by 2pm and for the first time, I feel comfortable using my computer for more than an hour or two. Overall, I thought it was a wonderful experience!

Dr. Owusu has treated me and my children incredibly well at every visit since 2011. It is amazing that he is able to maintain such a tremendous level of professionalism while somehow keeping the mood light even when there’s not so great news. My eldest has many health issues, some of which relate to his eyes (I actually didn’t even know that until I met Dr. Owusu). I always feel very comfortable knowing that my son is seeing a great doctor who actually cares. As a concerned mama bear, I am very happy to continue taking my kids to see him. They really enjoy it too to the point where once a year doesn’t feel like enough for them. Thank you Dr. O for relieving my anxiety and for caring for my kids like they are your own. It’s hard to find people who can be trusted these days but people like you restore my hope that good still exists. Until our next appointment, Mrs. Obunluye.

I am very happy that I had the opportunity to see Dr. Owusu. I have 3 family members who see him and now I am happy to be part of the group. He was incredibly attentive to my concerns and addressed and explained a number of things that didn’t even occur to me. I was told that I would enjoy the exam with him but never would I have thought that I would feel so comfortable. Dr. Owusu has an obvious knack for making people feel relaxed. Being a bit of a Nervous Nelly, I really appreciate it. I plan to continue seeing Dr. Owusu. He is excellent!
