Biography
Alan T. Chang, MD is a board certified Internal Medicine Physician in the Escondido Grand Avenue Office of Palomar Health Medical Group - Graybill. As an Internist, he is focused on the needs of adult patients. Dr. Chang believes that counseling his patients on making healthy lifestyle changes plays a key role in his practice. All patients can benefit from some form of regular physical activity and better nutrition, from those already in good health to people with chronic diseases such as diabetes or high blood pressure, to geriatric patients with complex medical needs. Dr. Chang received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology in 1991 from Stanford University, where he graduated with Honors and Distinction. He attended medical school at Dartmouth University (Hanover, NH) from 1991 through 1993 and at the University of Southern California from 1993 through 1995. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in 1998. Prior to joining Palomar Health Medical Group - Graybill, Dr. Chang practiced in one of the region’s large medical groups, where he was often formally recognized by his patients for excellent care and compassion. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the San Diego County Medical Society, American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians.
