Dr. Brooks was referred to us by my daughter's pediatrician. We loved him the moment we met him. My daughter's exam was borderline as to whether or not she needed glasses and rather than telling us she needed to go ahead and spend the money, he suggested we wait a bit longer to see. Loved his honestly and not trying to put my daughter into glasses if she didn't need them just yet.

My son has had vision problems from birth (strabismus). Dr. Brooks has done an excellent job diagnosing and treating him. After some patching corrected one problem with my son's eyes another problem was apparent which did require surgery when he was 2 years old and again when he was 4. Both surgeries were excellent, done quickly and produced amazing results with a speedy recovery for my son. Dr. Brooks has always treated us well and we never have to wait long for our scheduled appts. I don't mind that he is very focused on the task at hand. Although others may interpret that as being unfriendly, but he has a great amount of experience and expertise for those with serious eye problems. Also, for those of us whose children use PeachCare it is a blessing to get this level of care.

Dr. Brooks himself is a good doctor- my experiences with him were satisfactory. However, his staff is exceptionally rude, as they express frustration over the smallest things and treat patients (and their parents) as if they were children. The staff at the front desk belittled my mother, saying she did not understand English. My mother has lived in this country for over 20 years and can speak English just fine, possibly better than the staff members. It is unacceptable that they treated her so discourteously over a small question ("Why was my appointment a different time from what you said on the phone call?"). The staff members are certainly unprofessional; this fact has been emphasized by a number of patients of Dr. Brooks. I suggest he teaches his staff to be more polite, or hire a new, more professional and courteous staff entirely.

my daughter saw him from 4 to 10 years of age, but when he replaced dr. maurya with that rude robert morgan my daughter herself wanted to leave. Her name is Ava LAncaster. He was short with her and yelled at her during an exam. when she couldn't read the letters he yelled,"Just try to read them!" She then said she couldn't once again. She was very upset when she left. And he was rude with me, saying very sarcastically "At least you don't have to come out of pocket for glasses." She is on wellcare-gov. subsidized ins. This guy definately has a chip on his shoulder and Dr. Brooks will see it one day.

The doctor has no skills in treating a toddler. I have gone to 4 appt. and each visit Dr. Brooks has told me something different then the visit before. I am in the process of changing doctors.
