I went for a yearly exam for several years and noticed that something was wrong with my vision. I twice asked Dr. D’Amico what the problem was with my vision. His response both times was, your condition has not changed since you have been examined here. I called the office and insisted to his assistant that I wanted to know what my condition was called. After awhile he called me back and told me. I researched the macular term and went to see a macular surgeon, presenting the documented history of my macular issue. The surgeon told me that my condition had worsened during the time I was a patient of Dr. D’Amico. The surgeon recommended that I have surgery and that the surgery could only bring my eyesight to how it had been one year before. If Dr. D’Amico had told me initially what my condition was then I would have had a better chance of improvement, by having the macular pucker surgery earlier.
