Her office probably writes the positive reviews. She overbooks because she figured out how to nail OHIP.

It’s all about $$$$$$$$$$ with this doctor. She has a firewall in the form of an annual BLOCK FEE, that’s right, American style EXTRA BILLING! She never returns calls. She gets her receptionists to call. Very sad state of affairs.

DR Philp and team literally have saved my life! I don't mind the wait as I know she is giving every patient she see's her undivided attention. She is thorough, patient and will follow through to get to the bottom of any health issues.

If you don’t have a problem and have lots of time on your hands, it’s the right place for you. If you’re sick, GO ELSEWHERE! Dr. Philp will never get on the phone with you. Instead you may get a call from a secretary (that doesn’t understand English properly and NEVER passes on the right message) or Nurse after waiting for days!! There should either be more doctors or less triple bookings, otherwise they really should be reported. The office personifies the problem with Canada’s Health Care, long waiting periods, less than mediocre care, leaving you to wonder if our Heath service is really worth it. To add insult to injury, she pushes extra billing for this lousy service. Her office is very quick to hand you a paper with “extra” service charges. Don’t waste your time if you’re ill. Any walk-in Clinic is a better choice!

I've finally found a doctor who is compassionate, empathetic and available - even by email to answer questions I might have. She is busy, and yes you may have to wait to see her in the waiting room. But she really cares about her patients, and I feel truly grateful to be in her practice.

Wait times are ridiculous, even with an appointment. I had to wait 2 hours. My husband saw her 3 times over a period of 9 months and was clearly deteriorating physically, I would wait in my car on Cumberland Street as I watched him struggling to walk to the building. But I was hopeful because I though he would be finally getting the attention and advice he needed. I dropped him off for his 5:30 appointment. I would text him at 7pm and find out he's still waiting to see her. After he came down, he'd have nothing to say about his condition. She didn't seem alarmed with his physical deterioration. Anyone with any compassion and common sense would have ordered tests and immediate hospitalization. Instead he came out with a sheet of paper for extra billing. I read the previous reviews and I agree, she seems to have placed profit over care. It's too bad because she has the potential of being a good doctor. However, once tarnished with greed, its game over. I have since sought assistance from another doctor who told me that without immediate intervention, my husband would be dead in a few months.

Wait times are consistently very long (yes, with an appointment...you could easily have a 1.5 hour wait), but once she's with you, you're not rushed -- it's like you're the only patient she has. She's also very thorough and personable. I've been tempted to leave her because of the crazy wait times (and if I need quick attention I will go to a walk-in clinic), except I have a good relationship with her and really think she's a terrific doctor. Still, I wish to God she'd stop triple-booking.
