I am writing on behalf of my husband because due to poor eyesight he can not do it himself.
Dr Michael Raabe operated on my husband 16 years ago. It was aortic valve replacement and aortic arch repair. Such an excellent surgeon!
We moved to Ontario 6 years ago and doctors here say that his valve is working very well and it will be good for a long time to come and we always tell them that it s thanks to dr Michael Raabe from Winnipeg. The best surgeon!

He and his associates ,nearly killed me. I went in for a stent and was given a heart attack instead. He even said , "oh, my associate made a mistake and puctured one of the Heart valves" More bad news followed. They did didn't close me up well so I had to go back in to realign the breast plate. More months of healing. Still, today, there are deep wedges going down my sternum and a obvious separation of my Xiphoid process that I feel everytime I bend over or turn the wrong way. Manitoba Drs must be better than this. But, from my experiences, they do not. Maybe I am not rich enough. Or my skin is not the right colour. He never read my chart properly the during entire process... he stated at one point " you must quit smoking?" I looked at him, and I said "I have not smoke in years." Further judgment.

Dr Raabe and his team of professional performed quintuple bypass surgery on me on Dec 31 2019. After over 6 hours of surgery I was out and a. Few hours later I was walking around. A great surgeon who saved my life.
