This review is for Dr Kim Martin, a dangerously deficient dr--but at the end there is a also a message for the maintainers of this site. Dr Martin left my H.Pylori infection undiagnosed for 10+ years before it was discovered by her successor, who found within the 1st year of her care. A course of antibiotics got rid of it in a short time. The consequence of Dr Martin's oversight is I have to live the rest of my life with the heightened risk of future stomach cancer. H. Pylori and Stomach cancer are linked. During her care she made me feel that I was imagining my symptoms which in terms of patient-Dr relationship is unconscionable.

Message for site maintainers: I left this message previously and noted that it was promptly removed even though this is a valid criticism. I am keeping a copy of this note. If you remove this note I will take this further.

This doctor doesn’t have much medical knowledge. We left the appointment disgusted. She was rude and dismissed our concerns. The pharmacist was much more helpful than Dr. Martin.

Saw her twice , once for myself and again for my daughter , cant say enough how bad both experiences were. She made comments on my daughter appearance which had nothing to do with the visit , both times I have saw her was for very minor things and I have left the office feeling like I have been victimized by an insane amount of cruelty . She should not be working with people. Stay away from this doctor .

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. She did not look at me, she did not assess my condition and completely dismissed my concerns. I went in for a back injury that I have been trying to manage for 3 months by physiotherapy, rest and rehabilitation and she was not even willing to look at my back to see what the problem was. I went in to request a referral for an MRI as it is impacting my work, ability to exercise and mental health as I am in chronic pain and instead of assessing my symptoms gave me a prescription for anti-inflammatories. I am disgusted. Completely pathetic.

I brought in my 9 month old son to the clinic with an inflamed penis. Not only did she perform the briefest exam i’ve ever experienced (no assessment of fever, examining of other parts of his body, asking about the duration of the symptoms or changed to his demeanor, food intake etc) but she then made me feel like a horrible mom for not regularly pulling back his fore skin to clean it. The thing is, you’re not supposed to do that to infants and can risk serious injury if you do. I told her that’s what several other doctors had advised but she didn’t believe me. She gave me a prescription for topical antibiotics. When I went to fill it at the pharmacy close by I was warned by the pharmacist (without prompting) that he had heard very bad things about this doctor and would suggest a second opinion. He honestly did a more thorough assessment of my son’s symptoms in just a brief discussion. I do not suggest seeing Dr Martin.

Dr. Martin misdiagnosed my mother for over a year- by jumping to conclusions and not doing a full inspection. Mom, who kept coming back to see her with the same problem, was trying to have her take it more seriously, but when a "doctor" tells you not to worry, it's hard not to listen. I wont give full details, but if you are having unbearable head pain, should she not set you up for a CT scan or MRI?! She did blood work... and left it at that, prescribing iron pills and birth control!!? My mother, best friend, my EVERYTHING could have been saved, had Dr. Martin not taken the passive, cold, route. This is not okay.

DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR.

I wish you good luck going forward with Dr Martin.
I however felt quite hard done by her treatment.

First of all she misdiagnosed my chronic indigestion. The worst part is feeling like a fraud; in genuinely trying to describe my symptoms and having those details disparaged. She said she'd never heard of a nerve connecting the ear to the stomach. Ear pain is connected to stomach problems because the Eustation tube connects the ear to the throat. Any return of acid to the throat is going to aggravate one end of that tube. There would probably be some nerve transfer from there. You'd think a Dr would think those things through logically. Turns out I was carrying the h.pylori stomach bug for 10 years under her care. I was in agony anytime I got near food. My next Dr spotted it straight away and a short course of antibiotics cleared it completely. I'm now left with the legacy of being a high risk for stomach cancer in the future.

Secondly: during her care I was going through an extremely litigious divorce. And she should have remained impartial instead of assuming if anything goes wrong in a marriage is naturally the man's fault. Both of us requested medical records. Mine had anything I could use in court regarding physical assault by my ex partner "cherry-picked" (removed). When I questioned those items absence, they were miraculously produced from thin air! (ooh THOSE records...?) Yes, THOSE records, because they are.....records!!

Anyway be careful. Best Mike
