Mary Teresa Shinn is a very sweet lady who apparently doesn't really listen to her patients as she seems not to respond to presented problems; or else she perhaps just doesn't know how. For example when I reported that I thought I had Raynaud's disease, she felt my hands (in a warm office) and said, "well, your hands don't feel cold to me." After seeing her for several years, always detailing my symptoms, I finally saw a specialist who listened to me, ran tests, and diagnosed me with Raynaud's and also lupus. I'm finally on meds that have given me great relief. I had a friend, also her patient, who complained of shortness of breath and edema,who finally changed doctors and was diagnosed with heart disease (she died recently).
