Dr Clay is a great primary care doctor. He went out of his way and actually walked over to the neurologist across the hall to ask him to please see me quickly after I experienced unexplained seizures. It is a very long wait to get in to see a neurologist. While I later switched to a different neurologist, that compassionate gesture by Dr Clay has always meant a lot to me. Wait times can be long sometimes during office visits with Dr Clay. I never mind, b/c I know he spends as much time necessary with the patients before me, and will do the same for me. He is very knowledgable as a primary care doc, and also will try his best to get you to the right specialists when you really need one. It helps that he is also kind. His nurse is also very caring.

I am a new patient of Dr. Clay's and have been very satisfied so far. My only concern is how long it took to receive a prescription for my thyroid medicine, which I was without for two weeks; something that never would have happened with my previous physician. However, waiting for the test results may have been the best approach, because my previous dosage was too high and needed to be adjusted. Additionally, when his office called with my test results, they took the time to explain what the numbers mean and how my treatment is being adjusted. I've dealt with thyroid disease for years, without really understanding my conditionm, and I really apprciate Dr. Clay and his staff for taking the time to educate patients and not just throw medicine at us.

Referred by another doctor at Fayetteville Diagnostic Clinic. A poor choice. I found him to be friendly but aloof. Spent little time understanding the issues and explaining options. I thought an intern was a "doctor's doctor" but I found several GP's that are much better

I find Dr Clay to be very kind and understanding. I met him when I was vey ill and had to be admitted to the hopital immediately. I was quickly diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes with blood sugar of 887. That was 6 years ago. I remain under controll and in good health because of his excellent care of a diabetic patient.

Not very helpful. Went in with terrible back pain and would not prescribe any form of pain meds even though MRI indicated a bulging disk. No compassion for the patient. Referred me to a pain specialist (whose wait was > 1 month) without providing any form of pain relief in the meantime. Went to another Dr. who referred me to physical therapy and antiinflamitory/pain meds. I was better within 1 week! No thanks to Dr. Clay!

Good Doctor, seems knowledgeable enough. Good pesonality. Does not spend enough time with patient at appointments. Fairly helpful but not punctual with paperwork or test results. I waited two months for the results on my ECG and Holter Monitor. I've been waiting two months on my paperwork for reduced work (LOA Paperwork) and have not received it yet.
