Can't understand the couple of the negative reviews for Dr. Hier. He's an amazing doctor. Highly skilled, professional, and a great bedside manner. Really makes you feel like everything is going to be ok, which I find very important when you're freaking out after finding out your have cancer! He has a good sense of humor too. Really down to earth. Performed my wife's partial thyroidectomy this morning (writing this now from the post op room). Personally called me to let me know how the surgery went (I was in the hospital cafeteria when they got out). Answered all our questions, even the stupid ones. If only he went into genetics instead of ENT, he could have learned how to clone himself to help more people. If you have any doubts, don't!

Excellent doctor and surgeon. He operated on me last year and the follow up care has been wonderful. No complaints at all and I have recommended him to others who have also been very happy with him.

Absolutely horrendous experience dealing with this Dr for my father. After an extremely long surgery and an agonizing 30 days in the hospital my father was set home. We were not properly informed of the possible side effects of this surgery by a long shot. It felt like he was being used as a guinea pig in some sick experiment. When confronted by me about his state the team of drs including Dr Hier showed no compassion and seed more disappointed that he would not be undergoing the same surgery again. To say I am disgusted by them is an understatement. Sadly my father passed away 2 weeks after being released from the hospital.

I discovered a little “bump” on one of my parotid glands almost 2 years ago. After many frustrating medical visits and tests, I was finally lucky enough to end up in Dr. Hier’s office a few months ago. I knew right away that I was in the best of hands. After diagnosing the growth as pleomorphic adenoma, he guided me through all the steps, performed surgery last week, and successfully removed it. The results a week later, exceed my expectations by far. I am so grateful for him and his great nurse at the clinic, as well as for the amazing team they have at the JGH. This has been an emotional rollercoaster, but his exceptional care, compassion and expertise made such a huge difference, and provided me with the strength and confidence I needed. Thank you so much!! #thebest
