I had surgery in 2006 for lung cancer. Dr Sirois visited me a couple of times I was hospitalized, just to see how I was doing and to reassure me that the operation had gone smoothly. He took the time to explain to my family exactly what he had done and that the cancer had been successfully removed. Since then I visit him twice a year and yes the waiting period can be very long, 4 hours and sometime more, but he is worth it.

Merci beaucoup Dr. Sirois !

Have you ever had a dr. Call you at 10 p:m and apologize for disturbing you , only to tell you to have a cat scan before coming to an appointment, just for certainty ? In addition, he added , he did not want my mom to wait over 5 hours to wait to see him because he was so overbooked.
My mom has been cancer free for over 14.5 years. When he removed one third of her lung I was worried . I must say for 84.5 years she's still going strong. It is all thanks to Dr. Sirois and his staff.
For those of you who are complaining about waiting to see him, think how important your life is and how much it isworth? Stop complaining and be grateful. Perhaps you were treated unfairly because of your negative attitude .
I stand by this professional caring man and wish I had an endocrinologist like him.
Sincerely,
Carmen's daughter

If you have an appointment with Dr Sirois you better bring a lunch box and a tablet. For my 1st appointment, I waited 7 hours before seeing him and there were so many patients after me. Then, once in his office, he rushes through as he tells you he's pressed with time ... so he gives you a bunch of photocopies to read for the next appointment. Very confused about his knowledge as he started telling at first (over and over) "don't worry, it's all good" and then all of a sudden "I need to operate". And again am given a bunch of surgery photocopies to read for the next appointment. GET A 2nd OPINION before entrusting him with your well-being.

Personnel peut sympathique et aidant. Médecin très occupé et qui peut paraitre rude, expéditif et "spécial" au premier abord. Toutefois, un fantastique chirurgien une fois que c'est à votre tour, très à l'écoute et très compétent.

I had surgery October 5th 2016. Lobectomy due to lung cancer. He is great on the knowledge side, nice guy explains everything clearly so leave his office with full knowledge. But you need to take a day off work for every appointment because he is always overbooked and you can expect to be there for 4 hours or more every time you see him. Recently things have gone from bad to worse. He is constantly canceling appointments. I’ve decided that if my appointment are so easily cancellable then they are not necessary., so I am no longer taking appointments with him. Hopefully, I will not have any more cancers.

Dr. Sirois is an excellent surgeon. Takes his time to explain procedure thoroughly. Apologetic, polite, extremely busy. Be prepared to wait. Has a passion for his profession. Extremely devoted

I had my surgery with Dr. Sirois on October 7, 2016. He definitely knew what he was doing. He removed almost 2/3 of my left lung due to congenital lobar emphysema (benign stuff). My life changed since then, I am able to do aerobic exercise and resistance training, no problem!
A lot of patients complain here about his "human" skills. The truth is that he might not be the most communicative doctor that I've met, but he is knowledgeable, goes to the point and was always very polite with me and my husband. He is very busy, so the appointments are very short and I waited for 6 months before my surgery (of course, cancer patients were more urgent, so I can't really complain).
I usually brought with me a list with my questions written down, and that helped, although I felt many times that he was too much in a hurry to answer them thoroughly. In the end, he is a surgeon, and I wasn't looking for a buddy to talk to, but for someone to fix me, and he did so, and splendidly. I have no residual pain, I have total mobility and he managed to operate on me in the least invasive method. Several times, before the surgery, he told me "I will take care of you as if you were my sister". If that is not a humane compassionate way of being a doctor, I don't know what that is.

My ecperience has been totally upsetting. He knows his stuff and you have to listen to him talk. No doubt his ego is inflated.
I called each week his secretaries are the most useless human being. They are rude. Cut you off midsentence. Their best catch phrase. We dont know anything, you have to wait for the doctor to call you. Well im doing just that. First I was told that my surgery would be in July, then August, then worst case September. Looks like it might be done by Christmas at this point. Iam told not to worry. I dont know of any xancer patient not being worried. I feel like Im gpnna need a psych hold soon. Or I resign to letting myself die
