Dr.Messina is a great doctor. He reconstructed both of my ankles and bettered the quality of my life. I am only 28 and now I can go back to what I was doing before constantly spraining my ankles. He was very caring and spent multiple appointments listening to my concerns. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Messina to my family and friends!!

Dr Messina saw me for pain in my knees. He was very curt and quick to get me out the door. It just seemed like I was an inconvenience. I was being tested for Lupus and multiple other syndromes and he disregarded what I said and rather than explore the situation just wanted me to do physical therapy. I felt very put out and ignored. I would not recommend him

This doctor is the most professional and caring dr. i've seen in a long time. I got him by accident [mine] and ended up in the emergency room. He actually reads your x-rays, talks to you and seems to generally care a great deal about his patients. Instead of having a nurse do call-backs, he takes his time to call people who aren't doctors or surgeons himself -- a rare gem in the surgeon world :)

Did not see a fracture in my foot. Gave me a course of action that caused more damage and pain. Fracture was immediately seen by New England Baptist Orthopedic specialist. This doctor caused me additional pain and suffering. I had to have surgery in the middle of the winter rather than the summer when he should have picked up the fracture. I was on crutches during an icy, snowy winter. I fell several times. I would not recommend him to anyone in their right minds. NE Baptist is the hospital of the Boston Celtics. There is a good reason for this. Do not use Matthew Messina.
