This doctor prescribed my dad a very strong anti inflammatory and his kidney function began to decrease and she continued to prescribe this medication to the point of irreversible kidney scarring that put him in kidney failure. Horrible!!! Basic knowledge that you stop a medication if your patients kidney function is decreasing. Irreversible mistake seeing her and trusting her!!!

Dr. Vandellen diagnosed my fibro several years ago. She did come across as being abrupt. Since then, I take my mother there and we have learned to love her. I think her personality takes some getting used to. Many Drs don't relate well to elderly patients but she is exceedingly patient and takes a lot of time with us. .

I have been seen by countless doctors over the past year, and have never had an issue with any of them, until my visit with Vandellen! She is by far the RUDEST, MOST UNCARING, Not thorough, doesn't listen to you or your concerns, asked me 4 times "do you have any heart, lung or kidney problems?" After answering her every time , the 4th time I replied, "I've answered the same question 3 times". She knew I was in the worst pain I've ever been in and told me there's not much help for people with "fibromyalgia." I said, you're going to diagnose me with that, before doing any lab work on me?" Her rely was, "I am able to diagnose whether or not you have rheumatoid arthritis or not by examining you!" (As she was extremely demeaning and demoralizing me). I explained I have had positive RA factors in the past and I needed some relief. She shrugged her shoulders and said "that's all I am willing to do for you, there are three different medications to chose from, let me know which one you want . How am I supposed to chose a medication and not the doctor, and why wouldn't she listen to my history and be thorough and complete the appropriate blood work? She literally pressed on a few "trigger points" and diagnosed me. She didn't have any compassion for what I am experiencing what so ever. Do not waste your time or money going to see this rude, nasty and ruthless woman!! By far the most unprofessional Doctor I've ever seen!!!

Horrible experience. Acter a couple pokes and pressing on a few joints, she said I have fibromyalgia and which medicine would I like. No bloodwork, no X-rays. She said I was too young to have Arthritis. I mentioned in fact I have a lot of arthritis, she said you should have told me. She obviously didn't read the medical history I filled out. I later found out she did the same to a friend of mine. Apparently diagnosis is not her strong point . I was really disappointed with her and never returned.

I read Dr. VanDellans reviews but still went to her as a 2nd opinion. What a joke however Her staff are wonderful. Dr. prescribed medication w/o drawing blood and my symptoms became worse. The resident following her that day pointed out the malor butterfly rash, then Van D snapped at her no it wasn't but only roseasia. Previous rhumy diagnosed me add undifferentiated connective tissue disease, malor rash, Reanauds, and a very long list of autoimmune disorders. I will not recommend.

I've been seeing Dr Van Dellen for 5 years. She confirmed my diagnosis of fibromyalgia. However treated me like I had been diagnosed with HIV. All she wants to do is be a medicine filler every six months. Recently I had several blood test ran by my regular doctor. She fluffed it off and said I have Fibro. The tests show signs of lupus. She had me in tears saying she don't know what to do with me and why my doctor sent me back to her. She gave me a steroid shot and sent me away. The office lady didn't even know how to code the shot for billing. It was like she gave me the shot to shut me up. I'm determined to find a new doctor that will listen.

As others have said, she is VERY unsympathetic to Fibromyalgia patients. My doctor referred me to her after me dealing with chronic pain for 2 years. She did a few tests (poking, proding, and moving my joints). No lab work, no x-rays, nothing. She basically said, "you have Fibromyalgia, exercise your core. Good day and I don't need to see you again." I HAVE NEVER been treated like that before. I left there in tears.

Dr. Vandellen answered all of the questions that the other doctors wouldn't. She didn't sugar coat anything, just answered our questions honestly. How refreshing. She took plenty on time with us until we understood everything. She has tried every medication available and is willing to refer us if we want. We are very happy with her. She truely seems to be concerned with us. Much better experience that with Dr. Khalil.

Dr. VanDellen is great! She listens and has a wonderful, caring demeanor. I feel so fortunate to have found her. Her nurse is quick and both are responsive to my calls and needs.
