Went with my mother to her 2:30 appt with Dr Khalil. When doc finally came into the room at 4:32pm, she was terribly rude, arrogant, and disrespectful to my mother. Dr. K would ask questions and then cut my mother off as she attempted to answer. At one point, my mother was trying to brief her on a recent unexplained heart issue and how it tied into this appointment; Dr K cut her off after a few seconds by saying (quote), “I’m going to cut you off right there. I don’t care about your cardiology issue. I don’t have time for that.” My mother, who recently suffered a heart event that required emergency lifesaving measures, became so frustrated with the repeatedly poor treatment that she was unable to form her thoughts and was near tears. She left the office feeling depressed and deflated. Dr. Khalil could benefit greatly from a review of the Hippocratic Oath, especially the parts about self-humility and treating patients with warmth, sympathy, and understanding.

Great if you like steroid shots. Not great if you want actual help in preventing worsening of disease. Blows off my concerns.
