This Drs mood appears to affect how he interacts with you. I went with my adult daughter to an appointment and he was nice, funny and helpful. A couple months later, I went to see him. He was curt and unfriendly. When he asked me a question about my pain and I didn't get exactly what he was asking for, he acted exasperated. That's when I remembered that my husband had been to see him a few years ago and we had immediately switched to another Dr who's no longer with the practice because of his rudeness. He may be a "good" Dr, but when you're in pain, you need compassion and support too. I will be looking for a different Dr.

Dr. Lieber is a great doctor, a great guy! He is honest and up-front, which I appreciate. He is not a hand-holder, but it is obvious that he cares about his patients. He offered me several different options and took the time to explain everything. After I had my stimulator placed, he called me twice to see how I was doing, which was amazing! I would recommend him to anyone.

I definitely have come to like and trust this doctor. He knows what he's doing and what he's talking about. He does not spare words, but he is good doctor. Do not expect him to be a hand holder, but I have found that he is actually friendly and does answer questions. I like that he treats me with respect and as an adult capable of understanding my own body. A bit eccentric, but his style really grew on me. I have been to other doctors in this specialty for other incidents where I needed steroid injections; this has been hands down my best experience.

After 6 years of doctor-shopping and trying to understand why I was in constant pain, he came in and said this is what you have. He helped me find a suitable surgeon to fix the problem. I nearly cried when he diagnosed me. He was the first doctor who made a diagnosis that not only made sense, but also he was confident in his diagnosis. All the other doctors that I've seen, I could tell that they were giving a diagnosis that they didn't quite believe themselves, as if they were guessing. And I know that most of the time they were guessing, but it is different when they want you to do something (like physical therapy) that might actually make it worse. He even recommended getting a second opinion. What doctor does that these days? He answered all my questions, even ones that other doctors might have reacted badly to. He is a bit eccentric, but that's part of his charm.

Dr. Lieber has a somewhat odd eccentric manner. But don't be put off. He is highly knowledgable, skilled, and has repeatedly helped myself and others I know, relieving severe back, neck and leg pain. So he's not warm and fuzzy, but he can help you, and if he cannot, he will tell you that too. I like him a lot, and recommend him.

This man is hands down THE worst doctor I've ever been to. After waiting nearly an hour and a half past my appointment time, he walked in very nonchalantly and apologized. Seemed very uncaring and rude the whole time. Sat there and told me his problems instead of listening to mine! Told me to "lay off the carbs and keep exercising" when I explained how my fibromyalgia medication has made me gain 25 pounds. STAY AWAY.
