Dr Bonner was HORRIBLE! He wouldn't listen to what I had to say. I have sever anxiety and was on klonopin 3 x's per day. I didn't always take that much but he cut me down to .5 mg from 3 mg a day and put me on 100mg of neurotin (gabapentin). After 2 dasy, I was losing it. He wouldn't listen to me even though I tried other treatments with him. He's a jerk who doesn't listen to his patients! He said I was unwilling to try different meds.... the thing is, I had tried almost ever med he threw out there and they had horrible side effects for me. I left APS as my 2 previous psychiatrist - Dr Norniella and Dr Langlowe left APS. I went with Bonner b/c of my insurance's contract with APS. After such a bad experiece, I tracked down Dr Langlowe and he was not happy with the way Bonner tried to change my meds so quickly. I could have had seizures. Do NOT go see this man.

I have been with Dr. Bonner for over 10 years. He has been helping me with anxiety and depression, and recently ADD. I have followed him from his current office where he was years ago to another practice to his own practice and back over these last 10+ years. I feel that he is an excellent doctor and has helped me understand and have insight on my psychiatric needs over the years as they have evolved. The staff at the place he currently practices (APS) is not always the best (but definately not the worst), but Dr. Bonner is worth dealing with these inconveniences every now and then. I will continue to follow him in this area even when my insurance will not cover it.

I've been seeing Dr. Bonner for the last eight years and he was great until he joined APS on Rice Mine Road. The staff is terrible and I can never speak with him unless I'm at an actual appointment. I've begged and argued with them on the phone to just give him a message for me and they refuse. I have Blue Cross insurance and if there were any other physicians close by that it covered I'd change because of this.

Dr. Bonner was friendly and asked the right questions but then kept treating me with the same meds even though they weren't helping. He seemed to pass over certain complaints as useless information rather than incorporate them as symptoms of any other separate diagnosis. In short, it was a LOT of wasted time because I still have the same issues, no relief, no meds that work and no diagnosis of the real problem.
