I see a lot of reviews by people seeking a psychologist. RTFM. She's here to assess you medically, not emotionally, despite her aptitude for it. She works hand in hand with you to minimize your medication related side effects and maximize the efficacy of your regiment. Would recommend.

The staff was average and I was attended to in a reasonable manner. I was seen by the doctor within 5-10 minutes. She seemed to lack experience and knowledge regarding psychiatry, or she didn't care about one's symptoms or both. Don't be late or she will charge you for a "No-Show" even if you call stating that you'll be late. $150.00 no-show fee. Insurance probably won't cover it, and she still gets paid $150.00 for catching up on other work or attending other patients. She will claim loss of revenue, but since she will not negotiate a reasonable lowering of her late fees, future revenue from me or prospective referrals, she'll no longer have. She has an unwritten Zero-tolerance tardy policy whereas other practicing physicians and even employers allow exceptions to the rule when not abused. Unfortunately, patients who suffer from psychological disorders, which range from depression, anxiety and sleep disorders, are no excuse for not being the perfect punctual patient.

I have had occasion to see nine psychiatrists over more than 30 years. Dr. Baumann ties for first place in my experience. She is highly competent, very personable, compassionate and caring. She is perceptive to behavioral clues, and appropriately responsive and insightful. She is also flexible, and worked with me to find the medications and doses we both were comfortable with. Compatibility is important with any Doctor, but especially so with a psychiatrist. After seeing a humorless psychiatrist years ago, I have a personal rule that I will not see a shrink that I cannot make laugh. Susan is easy to laugh and rejoins with funny responses or word-play. I have seen Dr. Baumann for four years. Her treatment is effective. I like her a lot and have great confidence in her.

Dr. Baumann is a true professional and is very good at what she does. She has so much education and the necessary background to treat people. I personally know of a few that have really come about because of her. Shes the best. Natalie

Dr. Baumann was not receptive to input from myself regarding suggestions for treatment. She was not openly friendly or interested in obtaining any information other than what I gave her. She did not help me open up to issues. I would not recommend her.
