Arrogant and rushed. I could go into endless detail but I was able to get a second opinion shortly after the disaster experience I had with Dr. Sheppard after sinus surgery. I ended up with an infection called Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which is often due to contaminated surfaces in healthcare settings. I also still have polyps so I need another surgery. Obviously I will not be seeing this doctor again and I would suggest you do not either.

I experience vertigo for 6 months. It was not very severe but lingered on way too long. My GP doctor referred me to this practice. Dr Sheppard had the quickest appointment time. I informed him that years ago I was diagnosed with meniere's disease by an ENT specialist in Philadelphia. He disagreed. Gave me a hearing test, and a script for sterioids. They did not help, so my second visit another round of steriods which didn't help. I basically gave up. This persisted for 14 months and I experienced a debilitating vertigo situation which I could not move without throwing up. Needless to say once it passed, the vertigo subsided. I would not go back to see him.

I came here to see if they could determine what the red rash was on both of my upper arms as I've already been to a dermatologist. I didn't know I was supposed to be the doctor because I mentioned what I thought it might be and they rolled their eyes as if yeah I was supposed to know that, I just did my own research and thought it could be that. Even if they deal with more important issues I'm still a patient that deserves the same treatment as this is embarrassing for me. He is the doctor and is supposed to diagnose me not the other way around him and his nurse staff were very rude and seemed uninterested I will never go to him again or the Wilmington office. I've tried many things before this there has to be an answer. Waste of time and money. The rating by the way is just for his staff because I know there are other doctors and nurses in that office.

He is the best otolaryngologist in the state of Delaware. Very knowledgeable about the debilitating disease that has been plaguing me for 19 years. He has a wonderful patient care standard and also so nice. I would refer him to someone that is in need.

I really loved Dr Sheppard. He looked at my scans and determined I needed surgery. He even rescheduled to fit my surgery in before I changed insurance companies and gave me a discount on visits just so I could have follow ups that make sure I recovered alright. He was quick, helpful, honest and smart.

I am VERY disappointed with Dr. Sheppard. I went to see him over a year ago with a set of symptoms, which he dismissed as not important. He seemed like a nice guy and friendly doctor. He took a look into my throat with his instrument, and said with a smile: "You do not have cancer." My symptoms continued. I went to see him eight months later, and the same story happened again. I waited a couple of months and finally decided to go to see another doctor who immediately sent me to a lab for additional blood work and a biopsy. Ironically, I ended up diagnosed with Cancer, which caught me by surprise, specially since Dr. Sheppard reassured me twice that I had nothing to worry about. Needless to say that if I did not waste a year and a half on Dr. Sheppard, I would have this surgery earlier, which would have been better for me.
