I have seen Dr. Disher several times and have had only positive care. The procedure I need to have done is far from pleasant. He is very caring and careful throughout the process. Not every Dr is for every person, it's just like picking a good friend!

Considered using this Dr for a Cochlear Implant however when asked simple questions he wouldn't answer. Example How many Cochlear Implants have you performed....answer: Alot. So I then asked so how many a month or a year. He just chuckled. My comfort level was completely not trusting at that point and so glad I went else where for my surgery.

On the day of CI surgery, my wife and I were the only ones who had any anxiety. Whenever we answered hospital staff who asked what we were at the hospital for and who our doctor was, they immediately went out of their way to say how wonderful Dr. Disher is and what a great job he does. (Having been to this same hospital numerous times for unrelated reasons - this was very a-typical). Surgery went off without any complications as did our recovery time at the hospital. Dr. Disher came by several times to check on our daughter as well as to inquire how we were doing. At bandage removal time (prior to release/check-out) the incisions made for the cochlear were far smaller and less conspicuous than incision photos made by other surgeons that we had viewed on-line. We are very excited as activation day approaches and continuing the journey to restore the sense of hearing to our daughter.

Dr Disher's office was contacted at the beginning of the regarding a possible medicine allergen. I was told that they would relay the message to the doctor and contact me ASAP. On Wednesday, I received a voicemail stating that medicine was called into my pharmacy. I contacted office after receiving the voicemail. The medicine that was called into my pharmacy was on my "cannot take" list located on my patient chart. Again, I was told that they would talk to Dr Disher and get back to me ASAP. I was contacted the following day and another medicine was called into my pharmacy. This time I was prescribed the same drug as I was given on my initial visit. I contacted the office again and was told they contact me ASAP. The following day I received a call from his office - asking me what I can take. Do not go to this doctor - he will prescribe medicine without reviewing your patient chart!

Seems very intelligent as doctors go but was more interested in selling me a hearing aid than listening to my issues. I wasn't in the door more than 10 minutes before an audiologist told me I needed 2 hearing aids and I hadn't seen the doctor yet. He looked in my ears but never my nose which is part of my problem. I feel he's competent, but appears to emphasize dollars over disease. We all have to make a buck, but come on.
