My first visit with Dr. Shealy was in 1996, I had bad headaches for years and all other Doctors would treat the symptoms and not the cause, Dr Shealy told me that he could treat the pain or do a surgical procedure, I chose the surgery, he did a sinus cavity surgical procedure removing polyps and opening up the airways, a few years later another procedure where he burned the inside of my nose to improve my breathing, he had told me in 1996 that I was allergic to the air I breathe. I haven't had a severe sinutis related headache since my first procedure.

My post op visit with Dr. Shealy, was at 9:00 am but I waited till 10:10 and while I was talking he repeatedly checked the messages on his cell phone. I finally told him I wouldn't take anymore of his time, I could see he was busy. This was a big difference from the pre-op visits....I guess Blus Cross had already paid. Find someone else....with a little more class. Hint: Baptist

I have had 4 visits with PENTA in less than a month. Although I've seen Dr. Shealy only once, his name appears on the previous bills paid by my insurance carrier. After 4 visits, I still do not know what is causing the problem with my ear, and therefore, I do not know (nor does Dr. Shealy) of a treatment plan to fix the problem. PENTA is very good at scheduling and billing for appointments....they just don't do a good job of diagnosing and treating the problem. I now have a 5th appointment scheduled in THREE MORE WEEKS! In the meantime, I cannot hear out of one ear!

He has been the family ENT doctor for almost 30 years. He is compassionate and caring. He has a great personality. He is the only doctor who has been able to resolve my allergy issues in which I have even been to the top 10 rated hospitals that were unable to help. He also has put tubes in my son, nieces and great nephews ears and removed tonsils from my son, and nieces. He is a great surgeon and doctor. He is also just a down to earth type of guy.
