Dr. Gates is a spectacular doctor! He is by far the most knowledgable and competent ENT surgeon around. His office is extremely clean and tastefully decorated giving it a very at-home atmosphere. The staff was pleasant and quite helpful from the time I scheduled an appointment to the time I checked out. There appeared to be good communication between Dr. Gates and his staff, and they all seemed to work well together. I think that Dr. Gates took more than enough time with me, answered all of my questions, and explained everything above and beyond what I expected. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience! Dr. Gates is obviously dedicated to his profession in medicine and cares about his patients very deeply. We should all remember that physicians are not public servants...they do have family and personal lives outside their offices and their practices are their livelihood. If they are not mindful of "the almighty dollar" then we will not have wonderful physicians like Dr. Gates to take care of us in the future! Thank you so very much, Dr. Gates, for all that you give to our community!

While Dr. Gates is probably the most knowledgeable ENT on the east coast, his compassion for patients is far outweighed by his worship of the almighty dollar. You can be seen only at his convenience, certainly not if you need him outside office hours. He simply does not care.

Dr. Gates is wonderful! He is a very well trained and talented surgeon. It was a first class affair from the start! The office is extremely clean, nicely decorated and has a very comfortable homey feel. The staff was warm and friendly, and seemed to work well together. Everyone was helpful to us. Dr. Gates spent a lot of time with us explaining what my problem was, how he planned to treat it, and what the expected outcome would be. And just for the record, he was right on mark! I just can't say enough good things about Dr. Gates and his whole staff! Thank you so much for everything!

I saw Dr. Gates for thyroid surgery. He is an excellent physician. After diagnosis he answered all of our questions, scheduled surgery promptly and has had great follow up since. He is very informative and always takes time to make sure that you know what is going on even in the OR prior to surgery. Highly recommend him.
