I needed major sinus surgery for a sinus infection I had for two years and diviated septum, but kept putting it off because I watched the pain my wife went through several years ago when she had sinus surgery. Everyone I talked to told me it was one of the most painful surgeries they ever had. Then, one night I started hemmorhaging out of my nose, and spent the night in two different emergency rooms as they tried to get it to stop. That convinced me to go ahead and get the operation. Enter Dr. Knapp. He was completely thorough in assessing my problem and always concerned that I was comfortable. He set me up on pain medications before the scheduled operation so I would have them available to me after the operation for any pain or discomfort. He told me it took a little more time in the operating room, but he preferred to use dissolvable nose packing instead of cotton and dissolvable stitches. After the operation, I took pain meds for 2 days, but never had any pain.

Dr. Knapp really was a God-sender. I have been suffering from chronic sinus infection which usually leads to nasal polyps. I have had 3 polyps removal surgeries in the past 12 years. I was not be able to breath from my nose at all and I also lost sense of smell. I was not able to sleep at night and I almost always have a headache, facial pain, and running nose. When I visited Dr. Knapp I was thinking of having my 4th surgery, but I was so surprised that Dr.knapp first open was not a surgery rather he wanted me to start taking meds first. Sure enough a week after i take the meds i started to breath from nose wow that was a miracle to me. A week later I started to smell things after I lost the sense of smell for years. This guy safe my life. He is a real ENT doctor. he is very friendly, and answered all of my questions. I would definitely recommend dr.knapp to anyone with chronic sinus infection or anyone suffer from nasal polyps like my self.

Dr. Knapp was a very insightful and diagnosed my condition without a flaw. He and his staff are personable and genuinely cared about my health and treatment. When the treatment was completed, we parted as friends and not dr/patient.

Sinus surgery is apparently a tricky affair. Sometimes it doesn't work. When I went to see Dr. Knapp, I couldn't breathe through my nasal passages at all and was suffering from panic at night. Dr. Knapp seemed genuinely to care that I was suffering. We decided on surgery. I had no pain after surgery. However, recovery period was difficult because there were various "efflux" drainages-- including scabs blowing out in the period of 2-4 weeks after surgery. This is not necessarily an easy surgery. I believe Dr. Knapp's skill is superb, because I am currently able to breathe through my nasal passages, even when I have a cold. There are no downsides. I continue to have nasal drainage, but I have not had to take a course of antibiotics since I had surgery a year ago. The almost constant ear infections are gone. Based on my experience, I will say that Dr. Knapp is an incredible surgeon, and a surgeon with *heart.*

Dr. Knapp and his nurse Tara are excellent. He is so popular there is always a wait becuase if you are really sick he'll always fit you in. Having my fourth sinus surgery in 15 years and I completely trust him. He is a real gentleman, answers all questions and will take his time with you. He will listen to what you say and believe you when you say you have something wrong. He ROCKS.
