My oldest daughter who is 16 has seen Dr. Awuku and he is very patient and takes his time explaining what he going to do. One of the receptionist is very rude and does not have a pleasant phone manner whatsoever. Sure some people have bad days but you are no supposed to take your frustrations out on the patients.

Best doctor ever . I had an accident at 8pm and was transported to the hospital he came to the hospital that night to make sure I was ok and called and checked up on me. I'm over 18 so I can't see him but my younger siblings do and nothing but good things to say. He listens and very compassionate.the receptions are awesome too always fit you in even if it's a busy day

I was thinking a lot this past week about a wonderful doctor, Mark Awuku, who was here practicing medicine in Sydney when our youngest was very ill with meningitis. His skin colour did not affect his intelligence and compassion for Kristin. It's because of him we still have her. I could not imagine feeling anything but confidence in the time we shared with this man. We are blessed to have had him here on our beautiful island. I hope he feels the same.
We always give thanks for our children, but it changed after that experience of illness. We are especially aware, because of the times we live in, that we need to be actively, anti-racist. We want our island to grow... we all need to be anti-racist!

My grandson was born a very critically ill baby. He lived in Sickkiids Hospital in Toronto for almost 2 years. After he received a heart transplant, we were extremely nervous to bring him back home to Windsor. We were referred to Dr, Awuku and he took our boy on as a patient and it was the most amazing thing. We are very lucky to have him in our lives taking care of our little boy. He calls and checks up on the little guy and us on evening and weekends. He takes our boy's health issues so seriously. He never hesitates to get the best possible care for him when issues arise. Our boy is doing well and adjusting and we owe so much to Dr. Awuku for his recovery and current health status. He has a special place in our hearts and always will.

Very nice and compassionate doctor and staff. We had to do a phone and telehealth consult and he still took the time to explain everything. I couldn’t recommend him enough! I will be sad when he retires.

I took my son to see Dr. Awuku yesterday. I have never met a better doctor. He makes you feel like you are his number one priority. He was so sensitive to my son's concerns and talked to him like an old friend. Support staff are also great and we only waited 5 minutes in the waiting room before we were called in. I highly recommend this doctor.

Dr. Awuku saved my baby's life as a newborn suffering with severe bilirubin issues. This was in Sydney, NS, and that "baby" is now 33 years old with babies of his own! I'm eternally grateful for Dr. Awuku's kind and so very knowledgeable presence in our lives!

Most amazing doctor ever. Had and have asthma all my life and he helped me longer then he had as i out grew his pediatrician with age as he was a very helpful doctor and miss having him. Know my kids are there and would not trust anyone more than him for my kids. Helpful and always willing to answer anything you ask and will always go farther out of his way no matter what. AMAZING!!!!

Had Dr. Awuku as a child and for my two children. He is so helful and gentle and never seems like your spenidng too much of his time.
