Dr. Rifai is the most intelligent, compassionate and patient centered doctor I have ever had the honor of knowing, and working with him. I was an RN working in an acute care hemodialysis unit before a disability sidelined me. I had five years working in this unit as well as floating to the SICU, MICU and the cardiac intensive care unit. Dr. Rifai earned my respect and admiration as the most intelligent person I have ever met. He cared deeply about each patient as a person, not a chart. I would have no hesitation in allowing him to care for any member of my family and would go so far as to specifically request he be the doctor called in if I was ever in the position of needing a nephrologist! I only regret he does not do primary care because I would have him as my primary care physician in an instant!
