Dr. Kosnik is the reason my son has his sight. We were misdiagnosed originally and once we understood what we were up against, it quickly became apparent that Dr. Kosnik was the one who we needed on our medical team. We saw him for over 18 years...until he left Columbus. We miss him immensely. I wish there were 100 more doctors of the caliber of Dr. Kosnik.

He saved my life in 2000. I was 8 years old and he removed an astrocytoma that was pressing on my optic nerve. I don't recall too much from then, but he let me bring my favorite stuffed animal in the OR with me, and it was right there when I woke up. I came out of surgery with only half my head shaved, and what remained in braided pigtails. For the many checkups and MRIs after, he made me feel safe and that everything would be okay. If I could, he's who I'd have be my kids neurosurgeon and who I'd still be going to.

Because of him, I'm 25, married, and have 3 beautiful children. He's amazing.

My daughter was a patient of Dr.Kosnik when he was at Nationwide Childrens hospital in Columbus Ohio....we adopted her when she was 2 yrs.old, we ne knew she .had hydrocephaly. She was a pt Easter Seals...shebwas not making any progress so the Dr.recommended she go see Dr. Kosnik..we went and approximately 2 wks after our visit she had a life saving surgery,If anyone knows Dr.Kosnik,knows he is man of very few words,but he did say that if she did not have the operation she was not going to live out of the age of ad 2,We agreed have the shunt put in,Chasity is now 12 yrs.old and thriving.

This man has been my doctor since I was 12, and let me tell you what a SAINT he is....I hesitate to see any other doctor because this man sets the bar high. Saved my life and the lives of tens of thousands of others. I cannot say enough good things about him. Dr. Kosnik truly cares about his patients and goes above and beyond for them.

Dr Kosnik saved my daughter's life. She is now 22 and leads a normal life. He explains hydrocephalus in terms I could understand. Treats new parents delicately as the situations with the brain are very scary. Would travel from Ohio to see him

I took my son to Dr. Kosnik because he has metopic craniosynostosis and Kosnik is the only pediatric neurosergeon in SC. I was so very disappointed and disgusted by the way he treated us. He was obviously in a rush, didn't even shut the door to the room. just stepped in, told me nothing was wrong with my son. and left. He never examined him, didn't order any test, NOTHING!! Since then we have gotten two other opinions from craniofacial surgeons and BOTH said my son needs surgery to correct his skull to prevent pressure on his brain. If you think your child has craniosynostosis Dr. Kosnick is NOT who you need to see!!

Dr. Kosnik, saved my daughters life over and over again. If he happens to be fishing in a nice boat on the ocean, or relaxing ..... I'd go find him! He's led the way in neurosurgery . His hands may be large , god made them that way. I've known him since 1976. I wish other neurosurgeos could be as talented as he. :-)
