Saw Dr. Leichter very late in my pregnancy due to complications (I had been going to midwives previously), and despite being nearly 37 weeks he was still willing to take me on as a patient. Ended up having to induce, but was very professional and understanding during the process, and practically saved my life when I began to bleed out. Thank you Dr. Leichter.

I went to this provider because he was a contract provider and specifically for Mirena. I told them over the phone that I wanted Mirena and told them again at my appointment that I was there for Mirena. I was not made aware of any problems or issues however there was a BIG problem. This office is not happy with the contracted amount provided by Aetna therefore they will not stock Mirena and will not order it directly. They insist on a third party ordering it which was NOT covered by my plan, even though the Mirena, procedure and visit were all completely covered at 100% as long as the office ordered the Mirena which Leichter's office REFUSED to do. Bottom line, find another physician especially if you seek Mirena. Ann Andrews the nurse practitioner is nice and answers questions, but no one needs this run around and headache from a doctor's office and no I would not see Dr. Leichter. All I wanted was Mirena and all I received was disappointment, frustration and upset.

This doctor was crude, unprofessional, unkempt, rude to patients, yelled at me in hospital right after childbirth, does not answer questions freely. He is disrespectful to patients and in my opinion should only be allowed to practice medicine in a maximum security prison for hardened criminals. He has no business working with pregnant women, or any woman for that matter. I would rather have had a cow farmer deliver my baby. He dismissed me as if I were an idiot when I asked a question about a concern, his exam rooms are uncomfortable, offer no modesty and there aren't even any dressing rooms. There is a COUCH at the foot of the exam table! It is very obvious that in his 35 years of practice he no longer enjoys his job, if he ever did. Giving birth and ob/gyn office visits are very private and intimate as it is and he managed to turn them into an experience I dreaded each and every time. I would NOT recommend this doctor to anyone with female body parts.
