Long overdue, giving credit to a good Doctor and, I would say, friend. When I wait longer in the waiting room than I might expect or hear grumbles about the wait I realize it is because my doctor tries to see his patients when they are sick and need him. I have never been denied a visit when it was necessary. His day starts early and when he leaves his office in the late evening he still has paperwork to do. He takes an interest in me and my life, and I am sure his other patients as well. It's new years day and I had a little time to reflect about the people who have had an impact on my life and so I add these few words of praise to a great doctor ...and his equally great staff.

Doctor Fakim is the best doctor hands down.I have been going to him for over 34 years and he is very caring, thorough and knowledgable and above all, very personable.

I have been going to Dr Fakim for over 33 years.I have seen other MDs in my time and have to say Dr fakim is the best in the province! So there's a wait time-so what-go to a walk in clinic and see how long you wait! We have a Dr shortage in Welland.It appears some have forgotten how Dr Fakim overloaded his patient load just so more would even have a Dr. to go to!No amount of money can make up for the strain of extra work hours and less time for a life of his own. He is efficient and caring and I often wonder which of the complaining patients would be willing to shorten their time with him to reduce wait time.Good health care is a valuable comodity -sure we must wait so everyone gets a chance to have it- but well worth the wait! Just need to take your turn like everyone else!

Good doctor but wait times are ridiculous. Generally 2 - 2 1/2 hours from walking in to walking out. Support staff is the best.

Books appointments like a hairdresser.If you have a 4:00 o'clock appointment, so do 4 other people. His biggest concern is money. Pack them in and make the biggest buck you can. Not as caring as he once was. Thinks old people are disposable and should put up with most illnesses.

Wait time is horrible, 2 to 2.5 hours. This is all the time and it's rude. My time is also valuable. He's been my doctor for many years but I'm looking for a new one.His attitude has also changed, he just does not care any more.

Had him for over 25 years, do have to wait for a while in waiting room most of the time. He is very conscientious.

DR. Fakim is a great doctor! He knows his stuff and is very caring towards his patients. He will answer any questions you may have and if he doesn't know the answer he will admit it and direct you to the right person so you can get your answer. I have been seeing him for over 20 years and would not even think of going to someone else. I too will be very disapointed when he retires!Thanks DR. Fakim you are great!!
