Best doctor I have ever dealt with! I had the highest respect for him. I'm so sad to see him go. I never made it in to see him before his retirement, so never got his recommendation for a replacement doctor. If anyone could help me with his recommendation of follow up doc, please email me at "hezzy-b@shaw.ca" His shoes are very hard to fill. Best of luck in your retirement Dr. Hardin.

I would like to say a big thank you to Dr. Hardin. I appreciated his knowledgeable answers to all my questions, his advice and his ability to listen to my concerns and respond in a way that helped me make decisions. I have been able to keep my diabetes under control despite other health issues with his help. I wish him well in his retirement and will miss him. Thank you for all your support, Dr. Hardin!!

This clown knows nothing about diet and all he wants to do is give you prescriptions so he looks good to the pharma reps who actually run things. I find the last thing Dr. Hardin cares about is his patients, he just goes through the motions long enough to prescribe drugs.

I had been seeing Dr. Hardin for over 22 years. I am 64 years old, Type 1 diabetes for 38 years. I am in extremely good health and my AICs are staying constant (6.4 last A1C). This is my first rating for Dr. Hardin as he is now retired. In my 22 years with him, he never pulled any punches and avoided B.S. at all costs. He was brutally honest when I was not as attentive to my diabetes as I should have been. On the other hand, he was always complimentary and extremely encouraging when I continued to have my diabetes under excellent control. His knowledge of diabetes was first rate and he always recommended new and innovative products. Frankly, I'll miss seeing him and I hope to find a new diabetologist as knowledgeable as him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hardin's for over ten years, and I feel absolutely abandoned by him. I'm a type two diabetic on Gluconorm, and just became pregnant so I have to switch to insulin. This week I have been testing my blood sugar 4 to 6 times a day and trying to do it as routinely as possible, but I have been sick all week-vomiting at 1 am in the morning, up all night coughing and hacking etc. I just want a little but of guidance when it comes to doing a glucose curve on myself in these abnormal conditions, and the receptionist is not returning my calls. Btw I was in France when I found out I was pregnant and when my husband who was still in Edmonton tried to call to book an appt for me she pretty much ripped his head off, told him he wasnt allowed, and wouldn't even tell me whether or not to discontinue Gluconorm which I know is harmful to pregnancy. No guidance, no reassurance, no empathy. I really wish I could find another Dr.

Staff are not compassionate when it comes to the elderly. They do not give them any leeway when it comes to being late. I can understand that there are many patients but people are very old take longer and have unexpected health concerns that are not under their control which can effect their punctuality.

Dr. Phil knows his stuff when it comes to the treatment of diabetes! Always punctual. No waiting and no messing around. Too bad he is not taking new patients.
