Receptionist is awesome! Doctor does know his stuff, but the visit will be mostly one-sided.He asks the questions, and parents will be cut off in their answers. He also just pushed or pulled my child instead of asking them to lay down or step down or sit up, and no child likes to have a stranger literally manhandle them with zero warning or words as to what is happening. Then my child was called uncooperative, even though they werent even given an instruction and went along as best they could. (I thought my child was actually very tolerant of a somewhat rushed aggressive checkup). No tears etc.
This doctor is rumored to be the best at treating pediatric illness/issues. You want the best if there is something wrong. Just keep that in mind when it isnt a patient, warm bedside manner.

We found Dr. Jamieson to be very rude and judgmental. You would not know this was a paediatrician based on the way he interacted with our son and the office environment was very cold. Nothing child rearing at all. Dr Jamison formed his opinion very quickly and did not listen well. He was not friendly with us or our child. Our baby was crying seeing him and he told us that he was out of control. Meanwhile our son is very mild tempered but was obviously upset having to be stripped and restrained. Zero warmth or smiling from this dr. Our son had just turned a year and has been 99 percentile since he was a month old and he told us that he was a big pale baby and made a lot of judgements regarding our son’s breastfeeding. We actually were not being referred to him for any concern over our baby’s size. He was very demeaning and gave zero encouragement. Made us feel like we are doing everything wrong. Horrible people skills. Not a dr for children. Would never go back.

Dr Jamieson is an excellent pediatrician. He cares about what is best for the child and isn't a pill pusher. He really listens to our concerns. Sometimes I feel like he's being a bit dismissive when I have questions, but I know he's a busy doctor and only has a short amount of time to see each family. When he has time, he's very thorough.

Our 3 year old grandson and ward was admitted to Peterborough Civic with RSV Bronchiolitis and pneumonia. He was immediately place under the care of Dr. Jamieson, and CARE is what he got - in spades! He was professional, informative with us about Timothy's condition, and at the same time very kind and attentive to Timothy. In our view, he was exceptional!

Way too arrogant to be able to provide accurate medical care. Neglected to diagnose a disease because he couldn't admit he may be wrong. After testing with another doctor, my child is confirmed to have said disease.

Extremely upset/disgusted with his actions at our first and last appointment. I had to bring along my 3 year old who was hyper after being cooped up for a 2 hour car ride. He asked multiple personal questions about my children and personal life that had nothing to do with my child there for the appointment. He then Pointed out that all 3 have different fathers. Then turned his attention to my laughing bouncing 3 year old and asked why he was acting so hyper and if he gets that’s trait from his absent father.... beyond furious! Would not recommend to ANYONE! With a mixed family! Does NOT know how to work with happy active children or even adults for that matter! I’m mortified!
