Dr. Mary Robertson, GP- Unfortunately, I do not have many good things to say about this doctor. She is dismissive, unprofessional, and has poor listening abilities. As person and a doctor, it is important to realize that when discussing with patients and professionals that you need to take in all aspect patient care and assess accordingly. She is rude and unprofessional to patients, staff and does not show respect to anyone. Not someone I would continue to see. She will eventually do more harm and good.

She was my doctor for almost 40 years. She needs to retire. She is not very helpful anymore. She delivered all my children and now she is saying that my son is faking it which he was just diagnosed from a specialist that he has celiac disease. We had to go to emergency to finally get a referral to see. She is always accepting new patients because she is losing all of her patients. So if your thinking of going to her my advise is don't.

Dr. Mary Robertson has been the family doctor for myself and my son for 40 years with exemplary care. Don’t know what I would have done without her. She is extremely knowledgeable treating all aspects of a patients’s health. She is an amazing diagnostician with referrals when needed. Her patients come first.

Dr. Robertson is abrasive, seems to rely on her gut rather than knowledge and has a selective memory. She was fired from Lions Gate Hospital because she is so antisocial and unprofessional, the other doctors could not tolerate her. She cannot keep staff members and is still using a paper-only system -- in 2019! To make space among her stacks and stacks of papers, she will not hesitate to throw away your medical records before she is legally allowed to do so. Her office is tiny and she forgets to close the door, so you have absolutely no privacy from the patients in her waiting room while she belittles and dehumanizes you. She was always a very difficult person, but now that she has become senile, she is completely unreliable. Avoid this doctor.

Unbelivably rude person... I understand she may have a high stress level being a MD however, you can't just treat your patient as an ignorant. Very arrogant and talks down to people. Please do your job properly. You should treat the others the same way you would want to be treated.

For me and my family of 3 generations, Dr. Mary Robertson is our well- loved MD who tells it like it is and goes to bat for her patients. With her background as a lawyer and ongoing medical practice, Dr. Mary is well equipped to asses a situation and choose an appropriate response. She has definitely toned down her quick responses, which people could have found rude if they are unaware of the multitude of stressors that all MD encounter in their practices, or if they were self-centered enough to expect far more time than their situation warranted. Her job is NOT to please everyone. Rather it is to triage, diagnose, refer and treat which takes an immense amount of energy, focus, dedication and courage. She has these qualities and more. That being said, Dr. Mary Robertson is human and as such does have foibles. However, she will give patients what they actually need which may not be what they want. So when you choose her, know that she is a doctor for the people in the true sense of Doktor which means teacher. I have been a witness to her evolvement and fully commend her as she has morphed throughout the years into, in my books, an amazing modern Doktor.

Worst healthcare professional ever. My expectation of medical care is knowledgeable and empathetic care provider. She is the the opposite of both. So unbelievably rude, I felt belittled and insulted.

She has been our family doctor for the past few years and is now the family doctor to our little baby boy. She is very caring and even came to visit me in the hospital when I was having complications after giving birth. She will do a thorough family history with you and is quick to order up and tests or referrals to specialist should they be needed. She is extremely smart, holding both a law degree and medical degree, but all that being said she is a bit odd. If you want a dry, boring doctor than she is not for you. If you want a knowledgeable doctor who communicates in a unique manner, who has a sense of humour then she's great. She isnt terribly punctual, but it's actually a good thing because she takes time to talk to people. She was really kind and talked to me for about an hour when my mom passed away. I didn't feel rushed or pressured to keep the appointment short. Judging by these reviews, she is definitely not for everyone, but we've had nothing but a positive experience with her and her receptionist Barb.
