I have been seeing Dr. Imrie for a number of years and I find him to be very good at treating my condition. It is always pleasant to visit him although it has been 2 years since my last visit

I've taken my mum to Dr. Imrie on her last two visits, 6 months apart. My mum has been seeing him for about 10 years now since she has had a pacemaker. She has always had good things to say about him. Indeed, when I first met him prior to her pacemaker fitting, his bedside manner was fantastic. Now my mum has dementia, I've had to accompany her on her last two visits. The first of those visits, 6 months ago, she had all the ECG stuff done by the technician, and then we were shown back into the waiting room. A short while later, Dr. Imrie appeared and spoke briefly to my mum in the waiting room; no privacy so others in the room could hear what he was saying. I didn't much care for that but forgot about it until today's visit. She was given all the usual tests by the technician. Then the technician called him in his office just down the hallway and said that her tests were done and everything was okay. She asked if we had any questions and we each said no. So Dr. Imrie just relayed to the technician that we could go. I didn't like the fact that, despite the fact that her appointment was to see HIM, he couldn't be bothered to take the few steps down the hallway to see my mum and wind up the visit. I was not impressed by this at all.

Dr. Imrie is good but can be very arrogant. He said my husband was not in congestive heart failure and two weeks later he was. While he was on holidays his stand in was very proactive and got him in for a ton of tests to try and get to the bottom of what is going on, which is what Dr. Imrie should have done instead of being so dismissive, even though my husband tried to tell him twice that he felt like he was in congestive heart failure (as before). Very disappointed with this visit and eventual outcome - he could have died.

Dr. Imrie's front staff assistant is great. She is down to earth and maintains a good professional attitude. Dr. Imrie himself is straight to the point with everything and very informative. He has good direct support for patients. The various staff I have encountered there for stress test to ecg have been alright. I am very fortunate to have this doctor take care of my cardiac needs.

I was in a very minor car accident caused by my passing out. I was taken to emergency and had numerous tests done, including a return to the hospital for an ultrasound of the heart and a stress test. They managed to catch one of the passing out episodes on a monitor and he was there in less than five minutes. His explanations, his manner and behaviour helped to reassure me. I was treated very well and everyone involved from the ambulence attendents, nurses and doctors were great.

John Imrie booked me quickly for a stress test and exam as I had experienced abmormal chest pains earlier the previous week. His demeanor, energy, attitude and overall patience and understanding really helped to put things at ease. As it happened I passed the stress test with no issues but he gave me his card and email address and told me to follow up at any time if I had any questions at all. NO doctor that I recall has given me his email address. "Great Service" seems trite for a Doctor but I learned a lot from the experience.

I only have seen Dr. Irmie once for a stress test and he made me feel relaxed. He wasn't like most specialist that are full of themselves and have no bedside manners. He explained everything and checked on me. He was on time and took his time with me. What a pleasant experience to have especially when you are having an anxiety attack and worried about what might be wrong with you. I ended up being fine but I sure would recommend him to anyone that needs a good cardiologist.
