I had Dr McKerrell do arthroscopy surgerys on both my knees. Before my surgery, he was informative, answered all my questions and was extremely friendly. Day of surgery was no different. He was quick to do the job. And said i'd be good to go on day 10. I Followed his discharge instructions and i was sure to do some easy leg exercises/knee bending, and limited walking, and am currently on day 7. I have zero pain, and am getting anxious to do my regular work!!! (But i won't till the full rest time is done) i am so thankful for what he has done! God bless you Dr McKerrell! I highly recommend Dr McKerrell.

Dr. McKerrell gave me a new hip in 2015. He is thoroughly professional and competent, friendly and approachable. Great bedside manner; he listened to what I had to say, and carefully and fully explained what had to be done and why. Absolutely fantastic office staff--they deserve 6 or 7 stars for going out of their way to accommodate me. A minor thing but indicative, I think, of his attention to detail: the best-looking scar I've ever seen.

I'm very grateful to Dr. McKerrell for all he's done for me. He did a hip replacement in July 2013 and I found him to be an excellent surgeon, wonderful manner, very informative and a pleasure to deal with. His staff was always very helpful and supportive when I had questions. Overall I'd highly recommend him to anyone.

Had total Knee replacement almost 1 year ago. He took his time to gather my complete history and presented me with options. He offered replacement surgery where other doctors would not simply based on my age (46). Post surgery I struggled with stiffness and he performed a manipulation procedure and I now have had a complete recovery. Easily walking, golfing and even running. I found him to a have a wonderful personality and his staff were excellent to deal with. Saskatoon City was the finest hospital stay I have ever had and I felt I was completely in control of my situation. I was given options for medications and ultimately all decisions were mine. Thank you Dr McKerrell and staff and also the Saskatoon City Hospital.

I saw Dr. McKerrell coming up 1 year soon and had my bilateral knee replacement within 6 months and began my 'NEW' life. His staff, the staff at the Saskatoon City Hospital, and himself are the best. I was in so much pain previously and now, just a little over 6 months post-surgery I am pain-free and walking, kneeling, going up and down stairs with no problems whatsoever. I would trust Dr. McKerrell and his staff again to do any type of ortho surgery. I am a brand-new person because of him and his skills! I am working towards my goal of completing/walking a half-marathon by this September. All because of my results after bilateral knee replacement! My 6 week checkup was a complete success, walked into his examining room using only a cane for balance at that time. Thank you Dr. McKerrell and staff and thank you to Saskatoon City Hospital! What a great place!

Dr. McKerrell did a surgical biopsy to my right foot. A complication arose two days later: my right foot was grossly swollen, changing color from red to blue. Pain was intense. After the biopsy McKerrell observed my foot several times. Three months later he finally diagnosed Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. The delay is definitive: If Dr. McKerrell had told me beforehand that RSD was a risk, then the condition would have been uppermost in his mind, and he would not have needed 3 months to diagnosis it. McKerrell invited GP Dr. Joseph Balaton to assist the surgery. I discovered this by chance from my Medicare Invoice. Two years before, I complained to the College about misconduct from Dr. Juliana Balaton, who reacted with hostility and emotional violence. Dr. Joseph Balaton is her father; they practice in the same clinic, thus he would be aware of the College complaint. Dr. Joseph Balaton Sr was in a frank conflict of interest. Did that affect the outcome of my biopsy? A valid question.
