I have seen Dr. Blanchard only for checkups and he has always been pleasant and explains how the spots on my body are no problem and what a problem spot looks like.

I have seen this doctor on and off for years due to a re-occuring condition I was born with. In contrast to the other comments, I find that he has always been very helpful and knowledgeable. Popular too, as it is often very difficult to get a timely appointment. He is the only dermatologost I have seen that seems to care about helping the patient get better. He also treats me with respect, something lacking in many doctors now-a-days. When possible he provided free samples of creams etc so I won't have to waste my money first in case they don't work. I would high recommend Dr. Blanchard.

misread the type of skin condition I had - had major treatments for no reason. He needs to use his ears to listen to patients

I went to see him after recently moving to Virgina. I have a serious skin condition that is caused by Lupus. He totally disregarded the 4 years of medical records that I gave him, and told me that I am just going bald ( I am 32 years old). He said that I should come back to see him whenever I have a "real" skin condition. I left the office without any treatment or medicine, and in tears because he basically told me that my condition was no big deal.
