My husband and I have had several dematological procedures done by Dr. Sangiray; cancerous growths, pre-cancerous areas, moles, cysts etc. Dr. S is a true professional, with a wonderful bedside manner, so important. His Nurse Practioner, Brandi Horner, is a jewel, as is his entire staff. They all work together seemlessly, and overlap each other so nothing is forgotten. Dr. S is a wealth of information at each visit. His stress-free and helpful demeanor transfers to his entire practice, to make each visit a pleasant experience. We highly recommend Dr. Sangiray as your dermatologist.

I love Dr. Sangiray! He is funny friendly and knows what he is talking about. He takes time to explain what needs to be done and why. He is also very good at making sure your insurance covers what procedures he has prescribed. I have been going to him for several years and he has never disappointed me and has been very accurate in his dianoises. I have had several cancers and a few other problems. I highly recommend him.

I went to Dr. Sangari because I had what I suspected were genital warts and a spreading nail fungus on my left thumb. I paid $180 for the office visit during which he snipped 3 pieces of skin around the warts to be sent for a biopsy. The next day, his assistaant called wanting $1098.00 for the clipping. I paid it. 3 days later, the assistant called to say it wasn't cancer, but HPV, Maybe. I called a few days later and was told the lab had changed the diagnosis. It waot HPV either, but more likely lichens planus. I asked for information about lichens plaanus to be emailed to me. It never was. Ultimately, i had to request the lab report myself. Upon receipt of that report, I learned that the diagnosis was not certain, only that it was not cancer, a fungus or HPV. It cost another $180 for this dubious lab report. Now 6 weeks later, I have spent $1478 and received no answers and no treatment. I saw the doctor for maybe 10 minutes; all other communication was with his assistant. He took my money and delivered no treatment or definitive diagnosis. He doesn't seem interested in any followup, not that I'd be inclined to give him any more money. This doctor is all shw and no performance.

I could not have been more impressed with Dr. Sangiray and his fantastic nurse. He listed to my concerns, and addressed several different treatment options. When I told him that I was very much against a certain type of treatment, he provided 5 alternative treatments to consider. He seemed to really respect the different concerns that might arise with various treatments (such as cost, time, intrusiveness, etc.). He's the only dermatologist I've ever actually liked!

Dr. Sangiray is the only dermatologist in Richmond or Henrico who accepts Tri-Care. When I started seeing Dr. Sangiray, I had already been dx with (and had removed) melanoma. Statistics are clear: patients dx'd with melanoma show accelerated melanoma development and often test positive a second time. In response to this, Dr. Sangiray's examinations are thorough and his treatment is aggressive. He stays abreast with technology and is the first at Commonwealth Dermatology to utilize such. My last appointment, he offered an advanced procedure to test the likelihood of future development of melanoma. Wow. Thank you, Dr. Sangiray.

I am a patient with a large number of skin cancers, basil, squemish, and melanoma. Dr. Sangiray has been extremely successfull in correctly identifying the bad areas and removing them, or referring to a MOS or plastic surgeon for special cases. He is dedicated, takes special interest in me, and knows my history. He has saved my life. The staff at Dominion Dermatology is great, and the clinic, situatged in the Bon Secours building, is very nice, comfortable, and clean.

I waited a little while, but no more than my primary care doctor. He knew exactly what was wrong before he sat down. Pt first, my primary care and an ER doctor had no clue!
