I have a complicated diagnosis and constellation of diseases and had seen different doctors under different insurance. I had seen another rheumatologist under the current insurance; he was very good, but a long wait, I wanted to look elsewhere. Dr. Day was polite, but upon subsequent visits didn't know me. On the initial visit he indicated he was considering retirement. He ordered no lab work during the three visits I had scheduled with me. He was not very thorough and seemed to me that he didn't really know how to treat me. I eventually decided that I could wait at the other doctor's office, it was worth the wait knowing that the other doctor knew me every time I was there, and had a plan to ease my pain and complications.

Dr. Day has always been very nice to me when I've seen him. He has a "grandfather" quality and always made me feel like he did sympathize with my chronic pain, although he didn't always remember me when I came in. With as many patients as I've seen go through his office that's completely understandable though. When I saw him for his bariatric practice in addition to the rheumatology he did make some remarks that I didn't agree with, but I could understand why he said them (meaning, he made comments based on his personal beliefs rather than from a medical standpoint). He's always been very friendly and chatted with my mom and I about his son while taking the time to print out information on Fibromyalgia for me, which he didn't have to do.

I DID NOT LIKE HIM AT ALL. HE FLIRTED WITH ME, DID NOT LISTEN ME. THEN GAVE ME A STEROID SHOT FOR FYBRO WHICH IS NOT GOOD FOR DIABETICS @ IT WILL MAKE THE BLOOD SUGAR RAISE PLUS I HAVE KIDNEY PROBLEMS. HE DID NOT TELL ME THIS UNTIL AFTER HE GAVE ME THE SHOT NOT ASKING IF I HAD EITHER. I WAS LIVID. WHY DID HE NOT KNOW BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE YOU FILL OUT MUCH PAPER WORK. I FINALLY LEFT NEVER TO RETURN. MY BLOOD SUGARS WERE OFF FOR 3 MONTHS AND MY ARM HURT WORSE. YOU SEE A STEROID SHOT DOES NOT HELP FYBO, SO I NOW FIND OUT.
