This Dr kept my terminally ill mother alive for 15 years. She was originally diagnosed with less than one year to live. Cancer patients have lost an excellent doctor now that he has retired. He is greatly missed

He was very methodical and very caring he coordinated all aspects of my referrals, blood tests. He called me at home on a Saturday and Sunday to check on my condition. He also kept informed me about the progress i was making. He has such a great personality which after talking to him, I would always have hope.

Dr. Cano cared for our mother in her battle against liver cancer. We are truly grateful for his guidance, kindness and mostly for his ability to connect at a personal level with her.

My mother was referred to Dr. Cano with very aggressive cancer and unfortunately she was not able to get healthy enough to commence chemo or radiation. Consequently, Dr. Cano provided her with limited care. Despite this, he monitored her health, followed up frequently, and took more ownership of her as a patient (even though technically she never became his patient and he was 200KM away) than any other doctor we were exposed to in the healthcare system. He was orders of magnitude better than the other ten or so doctors that treated my mother over the course of her terminal illness. His intervention was the precipitating factor that enabled us to make the hard decision to move my mother to palliative care at the appropriate time and enabled us to better manage my mother’s pain, and surround her with friends and family in her final days. I cannot overstate my gratitude for his actions in this respect. I also appreciate that his intervention was not an ordinary act and was enabled by the fact that he was going above and beyond in monitoring my mother’s health from a far and had the willingness to engage both us and the local doctors treating my mother. He called me at home on several occasions to review my mother’s diagnostic results, prognosis, and treatment and again subsequent to my mother’s death to express his condolences. You will not find a more attentive, competent, or compassionate doctor.

It's too bad the ratings only go as high as 5. Doctor Cano is definitely a 25.Some Doctors are very dedicated but i know that Doctor Cano is absolutely passionate about helping people with cancer.l cannot find the words to thank him properly.He is an amazing Doctor. Doctor Cano ACTUALLY called at my home on Good Friday at 9:30 pm while he was in Toronto.He also said he had good news for a new drug that he was going to give to me. My wife and l are still on cloud 9.l dont know what else to say except to thank God and thanks to Doctor Pablo Cano.Gerry & Yvette Racicot
