Dr. Oakley Smith the best, most skilled surgeon around. In 2010 I had a HORRIFIC rhino with another surgeon in Brampton, when I tried to get my profile straightened. He completely destroyed my nose, and when I tried to get him to fix his mistakes, he barely did anything. I pretty much went into hiding, and withdrew from any and all social activities. And forget about having my pictures taken. (FYI, I went from having a Sharon Stone-esque nose, to having a super wide, flat, rounded tip nose). It was a very depressing time in my life. For several years, I researched every rhino surgeon in Canada and the US; I was willing to go ANYWHERE and pay ANYTHING to fix my nose. Then I came across Dr. Smith and his glowing reviews. I decided to book an appointment with him, and I thank God I did. Dr. Smith is a brilliant, skilled and kind surgeon. He told me what could be done, and gave me percentages of success which gave me a lot of comfort and also helped me understand what was realistic. Many surgeons promise you everything during a consultation, and then under-deliver, but not Dr. Smith. I knew what to expect going in. As it so happens, when he opened my nose up, he saw my tip cartilage was fragmented, in pieces, which we couldn't have anticipated. Yet, he was able to re-build my tip and give me the narrow nose and smaller tip that I desired. My recovery was also amazing. Although Dr. Smith had to break my bones (sort of between my eyes) to narrow my nose, I barely bruised and had minimal swelling (a testament to how skilled his hands are). Today I have a thinner nose, and a smaller tip, and a beautiful profile. My husband says that hands down, my nose today is incredible. And I have to agree. And not only is Dr. Smith a skilled surgeon who is up to date on the latest surgical techniques, but he is also a lovely person, funny, and INCREDIBLY humble (unlike most of the arrogant surgeons in Toronto). And I also have to say that Beena is amazing!!! If you are seriously considering rhinoplasty, forget the other surgeons inToronto - I urge you to see Dr. Smith. He gets it perfect the first time. You will not regret it! Honestly, 5/5 is not a good enough rating....he's 100/5 +++, as far as I'm concerned! Thank you Dr. Smith!

I spent about one year searching for a rhinoplasty surgeon to find the right one who I thought would be able to help me with my nose issue. I thought if I do not find any doctor I like I would not do the rhinoplasty at all. And this is why… My nose was broken several times, I had two septoplasty and two rhinoplasty surgeries in the past out of Canada, however I still had a breathing issue and my nose looked broken and ugly. I tried to use various softwares to project my nose performance and trying to find something I may like but I have never liked even the best virtual model that I did. So I was not looking for just an experienced surgeon who can try improving my nose, but I was looking for one who will be attracted to fight a very serious and too complicated nose problem that I had. And Dr. Smith was one and the only one who did impossible for me. Unbelievable result that turned my life to a new stage. I do not find a scale to rate Dr. Smith, it is much over the maximum available. I appreciate Dr. Smith so much for making impossible to me.

Without a doubt, Dr. Oakley Smith has truly changed my life. If you are reading this review and researching on who the best person will be to perform surgery on your nose, look no further as I can assure you Dr. Oakley Smith knows what he is doing! The work I had performed on my face was a Septo/Rhinoplasty - I had a SEVERE deviated septum along with a visible bump on my nasal bridge and a droopy nasal tip. As difficult as it was for me to breathe and as emotionally taxing it was having to deal with a nose I never wanted to look at, it took me years to actually go through with the procedure. I was horrified that someone was going to destroy my face and questioned for years who I was going to trust to fix my problem. I had met with 3 other surgeons prior to meeting Dr. Oakley Smith and 2 ENT’s (one surgeon worked out of Centenary Hospital, the other out of North York General, and the last in a private clinic located in Toronto). Unfortunately, the vibes I got during each consultation continued to make me even more apprehensive about the whole thing. What I had experienced with Dr. Oakley Smith was unlike any other and the feeling I had during our meeting and leaving his office, well, it just felt right. I was finally able to make my decision. I called the next day to book my surgery date. Dr. Oakley Smith takes the time to listen and understand your concerns. After expressing what I was experiencing and how I felt, he evaluated my condition, assessed my nose internally and externally, and suggested what he thought would be best. Most importantly, he suggested what was realistic and specific to my individual needs. What I respected the most was that he lay out and drew out different ways I could go about it. In doing so, he articulated these options in a way where I understood what would and what could happen in each case and then left it for me to make my own final decision in pursuing and if so, how it was I wanted to go about it - no pressure, no rushing. His professionalism and knowledge put me at ease. His way of communicating made me understand everything which made me feel comfortable. Even during my recovery, he had mentioned things that I would notice throughout the healing process and what he said is exactly what happened. That being said, I never had to question anything as he was very thorough in explaining things. I truly can’t thank him enough for the amazing work he did on my nose. I can finally BREATHE and feel comfortable in my own skin with the most natural results. I couldn’t be happier :)

Dr. Smith is highly skilled and knowledgeable at what he does, I'm very happy with my rhinoplasty, (I had a shield graft put in to add definition) and the recovery process was very smooth - no complications. He's easy to talk to and I felt like I was able to communicate exactly what I envisioned and achieve that result - I highly recommend Dr. Smith! :)

I am extremely pleased with my results from my rhinoplasty with Dr. Smith. My nose is much more 'delicate' and smaller now, without going overboard and not looking like me anymore. The result is so natural and just suits me so much better. I found Dr. Smith to be very realistic and honest with me with his expectations and I like he didn't try to promise me the world in order to sell the surgery or himself. I had a very bulbous tip which he narrowed out very nicely, and I had quite a hump from the side profile which was quite harsh, and now the side profile of my nose is feminine and much softer. After my surgery Dr Smith was on vacation and I appreciated the fact that he still answered my questions via email. Also his admin is very quick at responding, very helpful and pleasant to deal with. So overall I am extremely thrilled I went with Dr Smith for this surgery. My nose was something that had bothered me since teenage years, and although as an adult I had accepted it as it was I am glad I went through with this as I am just that much happier now. Thanks Dr. Smith!

I had a Septo-rhinoplasty with Dr. Smith in August 2014. I am now 10 months post surgery and could not be happier with my results! Prior to meeting with Dr. Smith I had a consultation with another surgeon. He was rough, unpleasant and did not make me feel comfortable. Due to this I was hesitant to meet with another surgeon. After a few days of extensive research I decided to contact Dr. Smith's office for a consultation (as his reviews seemed encouraging). To no surprise Dr. Smith was just as friendly, kind and honest as his previous reviews said! To me this was very important, especially when going for such an extensive operation (my surgery was about 3 and a half hours due its complexity - less than 80/10 breathing in my nose, as well as a deviated septum).

Pre-surgery and post-surgery were both very pleasant experiences with Dr. Smith and his lovely secretary Beena (she is the sweetest!). They answered any and every question myself or my parents had regarding my surgery. They were prompt in responding to both emails and phone calls.

Despite a few discouraging reviews I must say my experience with Dr. Oakley Smith was exceptional. Not only can I fully breathe now, but my nose looks natural, and is perfectly straight. Dr. Smith exceeded my expectations and I could truly not be happier with my results!

BTW I even receive compliments about my nose from people who do not even know that I've had surgery - I think this speaks for how exceptional Dr. Smiths work is.

Dr. Oakley Smith is one of the best rhinoplasty surgeons in Toronto. I searched for a doctor with his skill, knowledge and credentials for about two years beforehand. I had my surgery at the beginning on February 2015. I found him through a friend who went through rhinoplasty and was in love with his work. I had a rhinoplasty and scar reduction surgery, which took about 8-9 hours and cost an arm and a leg (don’t cheap out people!!!!! As you get what you pay for and I am very satisfied with my results). It was well worth it. I decided to do rhinoplasty after a terrible car accident. My nose was severely damaged and misaligned to the point where breathing was questionable. I also had a bump on the bridge of my nose and the tip was pointed downwards. The scar on my face was uneven, deep and fairly noticeable. It went from my forehead, down to on top of my eyelid down to right above my temple on the right side.

I couldn’t eat solid food and forced myself to have liquid food for about two weeks. I couldn’t brush my teeth for a week straight and was super hard to do for a couple weeks. I had all my stitches removed 3 days after my surgery. Dr. Oakley Smith said, he put 30-40+ stitches all over my face, in total. I heal quickly but I kept bleeding which was normal. I wasn’t as swollen as regular patients. I had my cast and stints removed a week after surgery. After that, I’ve been on my own and only email Dr. Oakley Smith when I have a question or concern and he emails me back within the same day or sometime during the week. Dr. Oakley Smith truly cares about his patients and is always available to answer my questions. He does not over exaggerate results at the beginning and tells you his honest opinion (which some surgeons fail to do). He was very empathetic throughout the whole process and provided my family with strict guidelines on aftercare. However, I must warn all of you that post-surgery you will look terrible (swollen, bloody and in lots of pain) but if you follow his aftercare instructions and stay calm, post op and healing is a breeze. We’ve had our regular post op 3 months meet and plan to meet again in November. My scar now looks fantastic, by the way! Although the scar will always be there, the appearance of it has lessened dramatically. He did an amazing job with the scar and I am very happy. I have had tape on my face since he took out all the stitches and will continue to have the tape on until, hopefully, November.

Nonetheless, I am very pleased with Dr. Oakley Smith and all his work with my nose and my scar.
