Came in in August last year with a severe sore throat that made it difficult to swallow. He does a strep test, says it's negative so obviously I don't have strep and its just allergies. It progressively gets worse. A week later I go to school and now I can barely swallow and can't breathe because I'm coughing so hard. Lady at the health services does a strep test, says it's negative but I definitely have strep because I have the tell tale sores and other symptoms. She tells me that there is a strain of strep that doesn't show up on strep tests but any doctor should see the sores and diagnose it anyways. Great! I developed bronchitis because it went undiagnosed so long, and 9 months later I still have lung problems as a result of it. I lost so much money in hospital bills and inhalers because this idiot didn't know or care that strep b is a thing. And this is not an isolated incident. I knew I was stupid to go to him but I did anyways because my dad was willing to give him a second chance so I figured it was an honest mistake when he misdiagnosed my mom with, you guessed it, allergies even though it was stage four lung cancer. I have absolutely no idea how this guy got a specialization in pulmonology when every single lung problem is allergies to him. Do not go to him if you want to actually get healthy.

The front staff is obnoxious. You can wait forever there. Getting a appointment for a physical can take months. He knows his staff is obnoxious but doesn't care.

Dr Samson is very caring and thorough. He calls back to discuss problems and treats them seriously. very thorough too. front office remarkably unprofessional

Went to his office in agony on my left side. He gave me a useless exam and sent me to the hospital. The hospital sent me back to his office because he indicated all testing for my RIGHT side. Came back and he threw a fit like a 4 year old. "I did not say right", "You are lying". Dr. Samson, I said I have the papers that indicate that you indeed request right side, when I can hardly move on my left side. He refused to change them. Everyone should understand that even though he WROTE RIGHT, everyone should understand that it meant LEFT. A childish, stubborn, moronic, arrogant individual who should be avoided like the plague. Do not subject yourself and your health to someone who cannot even recognize that he made a dangerous mistake.

It takes MONTHS to get an appointment for a physical with Dr. Samson in the morning. He refuse to allow an outside lab to do the the work as my previous internists did;so if one has a physical in the afternoon, one must fast until the afternoon.He is quick to attribute "psychosomatic" or psychological labels to symptoms without ruling out physiological illnesses.Because of this, he missed diagnosing me correctly.

Dr. Samson is AWESOME!(Unfortunately, his staff is not.... but aren't most NY secretaries rude? - and I'd rather have a great doctor with a lousy secretary than the other way around!) He's really smart, caring, nice!
